The statistics do not lie do they...

The statistics do not lie do they...

...well, to me they do not seem to be lying as far as Vital Pompey is concerned anyway to be honest fellas!

Lets just take a look at January, and the record-breaking month it was:

  • 11753pts combined members points - double the previous best.
  • Almost 3m hits - almost 500,000 more than the previous best.
  • More than 330,000 page impressions - over 130,000 more than the previous best.

All this testifies to this if you ask me, and all makes me think that Vital Pompey is well and truly on the path to becoming the biggest and best Pompey site out there - so join the Vital Pompey revolution now...

Has there ever been a better time to be a Pompey fan?

I cannot honestly remember that there has been in my lifetime, obviously we won the old Division One a few years back, and had been in the top flight in the 80s with a few highlights in the 90s but for as long as I could remember we were a 'dead man walking' really, but now we are up with the big boys and look as if we are here to stay - so make the most of these days now and have you say!

If you are a Pompey fan - as I suspect if you are reading this - with the season going along nicely, you surely must have something to say?

So why not say it right here on Vital Pompey now - join us today and do just that, have your say!

This is our time fellas, our site and chance to say what we want to say about Pompey whenever we want!

In varying ways we all pay our money - sometimes beyond out means! - to support the club we love, many of us through some of the darkest days in our clubs history - not that this makes us better fans - as it does not, so this is our chance, without censor - foul or abuse language aside - to say what we want when we want in all areas of this site.

Get involved with your comments and/or suggestions for poll and article and make yourself heard. Do not be afraid as in most instances there is no right or wrong - just difference of opinions. No one will ridicule you, we might not agree but unless you totally deserve it you will not be shot down - As the 'landlord' I for one will not stand for it.

We all have an opinion so share it right here on Vital Pompey, you honestly will not find a friendlier Pompey site on the net - believe me I have looked! - no word of a lie fellas, pull up a chair and get involved.

So many of this sites members are now getting involved, so it is not just my ramblings you have to put up with in article format, other members are putting forward some crackin' reads, and the forum side of this site is picking up momentum all the time and there almost always seems to be someone online that you can chat to - so join Vital Pompey now...

P.S. When I saw the title of the thread, I half expected it to be a reflection of how Bolton deserved to see us off on Saturday!

Bolton were unlucky, but they can't really say they deserved to win because they never put the ball in the net.

I've just looked at the Garth Crooks Team of the Week on the BBC sport website. He has Craig Gordon in goal. What planet is this guy on? Can I get his job?

Tracy, that was my thought exactly - Craig Gordon reminds me of Schmeichel the Younger, all wallowy and ott... Crooks is an fool, I don't know of anybody who has a good word to say about him...

we've gone over that already Tantona, sorry for being 'slightly' misleading with me headline - you can add me to the thread pompeygray...

ive not seen crooks' team of the week, but i will have a look now, all i can say is gordon must have played bloody well and made a better 'save of the season' than jamo did to be in ahead of him...

Evans - Right back or right midfield?

Drew Talbot and Adam Buxton are fit but Gareth Evans continues to fill in at right back. Should this change? If so where would it leave the battle between Evans and Carl Baker?
