Benjani moves to Man City

Benjani moves to Man City

Benjani has successfully come through his medical - as expected - so he has completed his move to Man City, for a fee reported to be £8m plus.

I am absolutely gutted that the fella has left, and I cannot believe this has happened... but it has and in all fairness we have got good money for him, particularly when you think he is 29. His work ethic however will be very hard - maybe impossible - to replace.

I will probably write more about Benjani tomorrow, as the fella deserves this even though we will have to move on and accept it - but at this point this is just clarifying things have gone through regarding his transfer being completed.

I wish Benjani all the best of luck with his new club he will always have a very, very special place in our hearts. I pray that Man City appreciate what a special player they have got and give him the patience that we did - if needed...
