Pompey 'chasing' Jerome Thomas

Pompey 'chasing' Jerome Thomas

We have been 'linked' with Charlton winger Jerome Thomas before and it is 'claimed' that we are looking to make a deadline move for him today.

Harry Redknapp has admitted to The News that he would like Thomas, but has also said that Charlton are not keen on the idea of loaning him - as he appears to want: 'I have tried to loan Jerome Thomas. He's a young player with talent.

'I don't know if that will happen, I think they would sell rather than loan him.

'We have two forward players at the moment, there is no-one to come off the bench. That is a problem for us'.

Redknapp has also said that no one will be leaving Pompey unless others arrive: 'There is not a lot of time left.

'I doubt if any will go out unless we can get a couple in.

'I won't let anyone go unless that happens.

Benjani is being 'linked' with Man City, while Jermain Defoe is once again being 'linked' with a move here.

Others also 'rumoured' to be courting interest are Lauren - with Real Mallorca keen, so some sort of cash plus player deal could be possible with Jonas Gutierrez and Sean Davis has also been 'linked' with a move to Everton or Boro.

Had a text from a friend who is a charlton fan. Dont know what sites they have locally, but according to him the Thomas deal is all over their local websites???? seems like a done deal to them?? who knows? Well done Mr Rug for picking up on this so quickly, you are obviously going to be a busy boy today keeping up with all the rumours and gossip lol... Still as this goes on till midnight, atleast you will sleep well mate.

I can't believe there's truth in the Benjani leaving rumour. Arry likes him. Why would we sell our top scorer? esp when we are desperate for strikers. Makes no sense. None.

6.5m for benji still sounds cheap, you coould not even get heskey for that these days, I am not shocked about the bids but I am shocked at the value they are putting on him.

No Crawley return for Tubbs

Tubbs doesn't have a future at Pompey, he's on the transfer-list but offloading him could be difficult given his wages. These wouldn't be anywhere within Crawley's reach.

Pitfalls of Sheffield Wednesday loanee returning

As Catlin put it 'the gamble' of aiming sign Sheffield Wednesday loanee Lavery has to be one Pompey fans understand. It isn't as cut and dried as saying 'he's a free agent' sign him!

Lassie coming home...well sort of!

A-box-to-box player, capable of defensive duties, with ability to burst forward with intent to make things happen - Diarra is Pompey's man and wants an England return. I jest of course!

Will pair stay at Fratton?

It's been made (more than once) clear by Catlin Pompey want Davies & Hollands to stay. Both (also more than once) have said they want to this - deals have to be right for all concerned.
