Pompey fixture changes

Two Pompey fixtures being played in March have been changed in order for them to be shown live on sky sports.

We were meant to go to the blue scousers Everton on Saturday 1st March, but will now be playing on Sunday 2nd March so this can be shown live, with a 4pm kick off.

As I suspected would be the case - and had told plymouth graham and co on our way up to the game at Fratton Park when we played Everton in December! - the game with Spurs on Saturday 22nd March will now kick off at 12.45 instead of 3pm, again so it can be shown live. That rules out going to White Hart Lane for us now I would suspect - as this was a game we had spoken about maybe going to.

In all honesty though these changes will be pretty good for me personally, and I dare say a fair few of your out there as it will mean another couple of games we can definitely now watch which we might not have been able to otherwise? On the other hand the travelling could now become more difficult for those of you that had planned to go...

Expected the Spurs game to change and Everton makes no difference to me... The Spurs change could mean an earlier start for 4me's family day out though... Luckily it's just London so not too far..

I expected the Spurs game to change - planning to go, now we can make arrangements, book travel tickets and make arrangements to see friends in London.

as said i expected a few months ago that the spurs game would change... im not sure if graham, myself and co would have still gone, but it was certainly one we mentioned as a proper 'away' game - altho they are all away for us! but with the earlier start and with the costs involved i would think that we will probably just watch it on the box now and select another game instead... shame really as ive never been to white hart lane either. i think an alternative was city near the end of the season?

Yes good news for us to watch live on sky but a bit of a headache for the brave sould who want to be there. 2 tough games & not places we normally do that well.

I bloody hate WHL. I'm desperate to go with my Spurs fan of a mate but I think he's otherwise occupied.

Has anyone noticed how many games we have on Sky and how few on Setanta. In fact only one Setanta games so far - Wigan are the only side not to feature - whereas some sides have been on seven times. Strange but true.
eastneydave
that was the west ham game wasnt it dave... keep 'em of sky i say as i dont have setanta anyway :-)
pompeyrug
chix, you are right, and I bloody hate mornings!! might, change my mind now, might make it west ham instead.
pompey4me
i think i could betying to go to wst ham or spurs - but if spurs is televised, then - probably like wuite a few other people - it will probably be west ham!
