The dice aren't rolling for Nuge...

When you are out of luck, you usually see this go against you more often than not don't you?

Well Dave Nugent now faces the prospect of being sidelined for a while with it looking like he might need an operation on a hernia injury.

After picking up the injury against Plymouth at the weekend he will now fly to Germany tomorrow to see the same specialist that has treated Michael Owen in the past, and if needed will undergo surgery later in the week.

Nugent might not have exactly covered himself in glory recently when he has got the chance so many of us had hoped he would, but personally I think that he has done ok and a run of games has benefited him and he was getting better.

This is now another set-back in his career with us, but hopefully it will make him even more determined to be a success here - see I am not giving up on the fella!

ouch! this is not good for him, BUT, maybe it will allow him to settle down again, and give himself another chance to start again...

get the feeling he was about to make way for Baros, at least it has saved him being dropped again

Carpet spot on mate. Start again which will probably in the long run do him good although it will be painful at the moment. Get fit quickly David.

I dont think Harry would have sold him in the window, we would have needed him especially if Kanu is crocked. Fingers crossed for the lad, lets hope he comes back stronger and ready to prove us all wrong!!

Blind faith. If someone had come in with an offer close to what we had paid, he would have gone.

A fair - and pleasing - result

Obviously, having been in a winning position, Saturday's 1-1 draw with Scunthorpe could well feel like two points dropped for Pompey, couldn't it?
