Yep, we will see another arrival

We will see another arrival - at least one - before the January transfer deadline! Not my vote, yours - although these findings from pompeyrug's poll are thoughts that I do agree with.

The window slams shut on Thursday at midnight, so we still have a few days to do some wheeler dealing in the transfer market. Yep, perhaps this might see a player or 2 still leave, but whatever we did sell you would expect equal amounts to arrive - plus 1 extra...

Information that I have this morning is that we will be bringing in 1 more player, but it is not yet known to me who he will be. Yep, you could say this is 'easy for me to say' but sources that I have are reliable, and this one is very trustworthy to me and has served me - and this site well.

What the poll asked - Do you think we will see anyone else - a possible Baros deal aside - arrive this month?

How you voted - Nice and simple - yes! 59%, Nice and simple - no! 30%, I want to sit on the fence - I dunno, maybe! 11%

Current Poll - After the magic of the cup, a win at least, we are off to the Theatre of Dreams - but will this become a nightmare...

United are pretty rampant at the moment, but if we go to Old Trafford thinking 'we have not got a chance' why turn up? What do you think will happen though - this is what pompeyrug wants to know with this - 'United v Pompey?' Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

I think the Baros deal is the only one that will happen unless HR has something up his sleeve if someone leaves.

HR likes a bit of eleventh hour brinkmanship so don't be surprised if we see a late signing as we had with ADA - now that would please Gleamer wouldn't it?

the thought is it will be a defender... and i think it will probably be a central defender, if nothing else as cover for sol and distin. a right winger would be nice tho.

We do need cover for Sol and Distin- although I believe Aubey can play there? This part of the transfer window is fun!

Yea I think there is a possibility of getting in another signing in there, I would like to see a right midfielder. Although I agree that we need some more depth in defense, we have not even been linked with 1 defenseman so far so I cant see that happening, besides Aubey can play both in the middle and the left so I think that he can cover in defense.

still need that creative midfielder and winger dont we! we have so many players to break up play, but not enough to do something with the ball once we get it. utaka, if he put the effort in COULD work, but is just too unreliable - hence, like kanu, he would make a great impact sub. also, i wouldnt be surprised at more cover in centre back position...

I reckon we'll pick up a player under the age of 22 who nobody knows, probably a loan with a view to buying in the future - like Mvuemba last year.

I reckon we are done for now, and that Harry deep down is quite happy, it would be better if Linvoy, Martin Crainie, Nuge and Kanu were all fit, but fingers crossed we have enough players to cover all the positions.

I'm with StuartM on this one, if anyone comes he will be another nipper

cranie 'should' be back soon shouldnt he, so altho its early days for him as i see him as the eventual replacement for sol in the centre of defence if needed i think we could play him this season?

Andrew Surman, Nathan Dyer, Peter Crouch, Jermaine Defoe and Kezman, all wrong..its Eider Gudjohnson. Well if liverpool decide to buy someone we could get Crouch to pay for Rafa's purchases. We will also get a nipper

Here's one for the future that you've never heard of. A guy called Joel Griffith. He players for Newcastle in Australia- not Toon. Only just 19 and has a ton of raw ability and pace. One of the English clubs will pick him up for a lowish fee and groom him and get a top striker for the future. He has a brother who is not quite as good but is still up there and plays midfield. Look out for him in a couple of seasons. If Harry reads this then he should take a look.

We got our load of Australian Players a few years ago aussie, only Aloisi and Craig Foster were any good mate, i reckon we will be reluctant to recruit from over there again unless El Tel comes back, no please dont come back!

The team must have been bad if you thought Craig Foster and Aloisi were any good. Funny didn't u think Viduka would have been a good signing this season. I seem to remember seeing him playing for Australia or and how about Cahill or McDonald at Celtic. Iam sure no Pompey suportter would even consider them because they are Australian. Does the term Racism exist in your vocabulary.

chill out mate - i think you will find that Owens has said 'recruit from over there' as in bring second rate aussies over fro australia to england. yep, there are plenty of classy aussies that probably do still play in australia now but the majority move on pretty early in their career dont they, so as i say i think that Owens is saying bringing over straight from australian, poor second rate talent, which most were... foster has his moments but wasnt that great, but to say aloisi wasnt good for pompey would be wrong!
