Pompey interested in Naylor?

The Daily Mirror is 'claiming' that Harry Redknapp is interested in bringing Celtic left back Lee Naylor back to England.

Naylor has been a hit in Scotland, and was always highly rated with Wolves. His performances for Celtic had seen calls for him to get an England call up with it believed that he should have got his chance.

Lucien Aubey was signed on loan last week and it was thought he would be pushing for the left back spot but he can also play in the middle of defence and on the left side of midfield, so as much as a left back might not be a priority Naylor does seem to posses the kind of quality we could be looking for in this area...

The paper 'claims' that we have offered £1.5m but Celtic are looking for double that amount.

Don't really see the pint of Naylor at the moment, wuth Aubrey coming in Speaking to Celtic fans in office & he reckons Naylor's not much cop, and that most celtic fans think the same. Celtic not that keen to hang onto him -theres a Polish guy they are after. Just taking advantage of transfer window

He is a consisitent 7/10 player more defensive than attacking but can't cut it in big CL games despite good perfomances against man utd last year. You can have him for no less than £3.5 mill though considering the inflated EPL market with king & koumas worth 5.

Who aren't PFC said to be interested in. it would be a short list.

true, it would probably be easier to keep up with too :-) lets get a striker i say and then see what else follows...

Scottish player, all this way south? I doubt it. Anyway he may play for a big fish in Celtic but it's a small pond league.

This is probably agent talk - that's all.

Naylor should go back to Wolves if he comes back, we need to cover certain positions and i would think that left back is not a priority anymore.

No sence in it ,there for Nonsence

It would give us the option to play Aubey in the middle to though whetjer Naylor is any better than Hermann or Pamarot at Left Back I'm not sure.. Thanks but no thanks I think from me ...

in all honesty ive not seen much of naylor this season, but prior to that when i had i had always been impressed and on that evidence would say he is better than both... but probably only going forward, defensively im not so sure...

being realistic if he cant cut it in scotland probably he cant manage it in the premiership, if we are after a player i doubt we would go to celtic not after the *****e they pulled over petrov
