HR admits interest in Crouch - again
Harry Redknapp knows as well as we do that he needs another striker - and he is plainly open in his admission of this with us 'linked' with so many... He is also plainly open with his desire to bring Peter Crouch back to Pompey.
Today the media is plastered with Redknapp admitting - once again - that he would 'take him any day of the week' after he told The Daily Star: 'I like Crouchie and I would take him any day of the week.
'But I just don't know whether Liverpool would be willing to sell him.
'He did a great job for me when he was at Portsmouth before and he is also a very nice lad'.
Would Liverpool sell? I do not really know... Would he come back? Again I do not really know, but have this feeling that he would.
The general opinion I get from people is that Crouch feels he is 'too big' - not literally, merely figuratively - for Pompey, something that to be honest I do not agree with.
If we had the money, and we put in a serious offer that 'got Liverpool thinking' I think that he could and would come back, but then again I could be way off in my thinking!

If we get Crouch we will be in trhe same "buy one- sell one" situation. I'll keep saying it our best options for another striker (Benji is a striker or goalscorer what ever you want to call him) are in the squad already if Harry would take off the blinkers and use the players in the role they are best at. GET ANOTHER WINGER OR TWO and then you will see a big difference. Forget Crouch he's an expense that we don't need.

Don't see us having the money to buy crouchie unless a couple of others leaving. Maybe there have been a couple of enquiries that could raise the money and arry is looking to try and play Rafa's hand before looking at the other options (Baros, Guiz)

Not sure if they will sell or even if would come. Even being a squad player at Liverpool with the trappings that brings will take some beating to come to us. Can't see it unless he is forced out.

all we can do is see what happens - but i find it 'interesting' that this talk has resurfaced again today after i was told yesterday evening - before a word had been uttered - that we've made an approach for crouchy... i too cant see where the money will come from, but ive learned with pompey over the years to never say never... not everyone thinks we need another striker, but we do a right winger would be something very good to get but i really do think that another striker comes as a higher priority tbh.

Berger couldn't play on the right wing to save his life!! or were you talking politically lol. Crouch is too expensive for us too.

what do i think bluedr - i think 'arry would be crazy to think he could do with berger what he is going with kranjcar and play him on the opposite side to the side he could/should be on... kranjcar could easily play on the right, but he is being effectively used on the left isnt he, i dont think berger has the mobility or pace or trickery anymore to be used in such a way on the right - yep in his 1st spell maybe, and yep he could do it at a push but it wouldnt work... i do however think that 'arry will rightly or wrongly bring him back - but this depends on villa signing players first...

If Arry's saying he's in for Crouchie then there must be more money to spend than we had thought. Don't know if he'd come here or if the scousers would sell him, but I think it would be great if he did come back here.

yep, just reported on it dave - i think it puts the crouchy talk into perspective doesnt it... if we are 'resorting' to people like ameobi then i think - if true of course - it concludes the fact we dont have any money so can no way afford crouchy...

Crouch ... ouch! on the purse strings for a player who I don't think is the option we need. I don't think he'd come anyway, not with Liverpool in the Champions League still. Berger... Can Berger off, he's old now and always injured .. Right Wing? Wrong Wing!... Shola Ama ...is a prodigious performer with a remarkable voice and a host of exquisite self-penned songs. She spent six weeks in the U.K. charts with her debut single, You Might Need Somebody which sold over 500,000 copies... What we'd want her for I've no idea !

no idea if we have any money, no idea whether liverpool would sell him, no idea if he would come, and no idea if i want him. basicly, ill wait and see...im not in the mood to be decisive today!
