A message from the Football Fans Census:

The Football Fans Census are running the The New Football Pools Fanzine Awards 2007-2008 to 'recognise the great contribution Fanzines make to the beautiful game'.

The Awards cover both online and offline fanzines so if you like your Vital site, why not nominate them?

You can nominate fanzines, blogs, editors and writers for 9 different categories up until Friday 1st February, then decide who gets short listed for final the judging.

There are a lot of great sites out there, with some great people running them. A lot of hard work goes in so please get involved and help show your appreciation! Click here to take part.

ive checked this out and already nominated myself for all 4 :-) only kidding fellas, but in all honesty - and im not trying to tempt or sway people - but if you feel vital pompey - or any of its writters, which are not just me and paultsmouth, people like eastneydave, chix, pompeycarpet regularly contribute too - deserves to be nominated then put the site and/or whoever forward... it litterally takes seconds to do, so if you want to do it go for it.

say for example you were voting 'pompeyrug' in the editor or writer nomination you would write 'pompeyrug' - not that im saying you do that... if it is for the website you just put 'vital pompey', 'vital portsmouth' or you could do 'www.portsmouth.vitalfootball.co.uk'...

Evans - Right back or right midfield?

Drew Talbot and Adam Buxton are fit but Gareth Evans continues to fill in at right back. Should this change? If so where would it leave the battle between Evans and Carl Baker?
