Transfers, Traore out - Aubey in?
'Reports' in France are saying that one player looks like he will be leaving Fratton Park to return to France, whilst another will be leaving France to play here...
Djimi Traore seems 'surplus to requirements' now and is believed to be a player that we would let go - but reports are not saying he will be sold, merely loaned with Rennes interested in a loan deal.
My thinking is that this could happen, but I am sure that we would prefer it to be a permanent deal as loaning him out will not will benefit us that much will it?
The player being 'linked' with Pompey is Lens defender Lucien Aubey. The 'unsettled' defender is apparently being watched and we are interested in making a move for him, with Birmingham also 'said' to be keen.

Lucien Aubey is class.. a proper left back with speed & great defensive abilities. Would be a great signing & is only 23.

Not sure I know anything about this player other than what I've just looked up on Wiki ....

So he's the cover for Sol and Dist or a replacement for Pamarot & Hermann .. and now Taylor can go ? .....
Still no sign of a striker or Right winger though...

We must've posted at the same time Yellow ... so if Jonah Gutierrez and Daniel Guiza come that's the right winger and forward positions taken care of .... Gutierrez is an exciting player (scores very few though) but Guiza is quality he's scored everywhere he's played and only struggled to get into the Spainish side because of Torrres, Villa & Reyes.. Imagine (not gonna happen) but Imagine anyway if Harry unveiled these three and Diarra tomorrow lunchtime... What would the team look like on Saturday?

Nice one tracyc ... but I'm sure a few council officals won't mind if he doesn't as they'll probably justify a trip to France to track him down.. on expenses of course ;)

I can imagine the new chant already, 'diamond geezer (close enough) he's alright'. If all these signings come off, plus of coarse the rumour of Defoe, there won't be any room left in the firts team when the ACN boys come back. Nice to have that kind of strengthg in depth though.

Its great news to be linked with numerous players again, I was starting to think that we may not even get any quality players in at all, but I guess diarra just got the ball rollin. I just wonder how much money we have to spend, because bringin these 3 player would cost a minimum of 10 million and I was under the impression that we were strapped for cash

Bring in another left back, we are short in this area , with only Hermann, Noe, Crainie, Traore, Lauren, Distin and have we just got rid of Matty, come on Pompey its a bloody striker we need.

'arry hasnt ever really been that good with signing strikers has he... if he could get that right we'd be laughing... if we have a bit of cash lets splash this on a striker now - test the resolve of people and find out if they will come or not...

he is a prospect, and we always need depth, sol and distan need a break and he can also play in the middle so he can fill in there, owenpompey I think ur way out of line here, we're not breaking the bank here, we are investing in the club's future

Well this article was 24 hours ahead of itself and totally spot on - well done Rug.. Aubey is in and as reported Djimi is out.. Harry must have a connection in France at the mo we seem to be doing a lot of business through there at the moment !

ooooo dear, traores gone. In sayin that, he did his job, although not alot, he was needed a bit last season and good look to him. he may also be able to avoid his council tax!! not sure about cho, its been a week!

well what can i say - even in a semi beer haze for the most part of the week things havent been too bad have they, got this right, got an inside track on the diarra deal and was able to report the signing of aubey even today before anyone else... and good work on the 2nd person coming in today dave - spot on!
