Formal approach received

Formal approach received

Newsnow is awash with stories over Redknapp and Newcastle, some a re-hashes, some even have quotes from Peter Storrie as though he has just spoken, but anyone who listened to our local earpiece the Quay last night will recognise his words.
Whilst searching for anything new though, I found The News reporting that an official approach has been received, if it was accepted is not clear.
This weekend will tell us much, I'm sure that Harry is listening to his Clash CD as we speak 'Should I stay or should I go?' but will the homefires be too good to leave?

paultsmouth approaches and refusals are not really the point, if he wants to go he will, he will have already had the chat through a third party and how can you keep a non motivated manger especially one as emotional as harry. For me the issue is are the club being professional and actively looking for a quality replacement and ensuring the captain stays solid at this critical juncture

If he is to leave, I want him to go now and not drag it, he is obviously going to sleep on any offer, but lets face it, he has probably known about any offer for a couple of days at least, secondly if he does depart, I would like to think he would show the club a little respect and not rape and pillage the players he considers his.

He wont go is my prediction, let's hope I'm right because the prospect of Donkey Adams stepping up is not great

I would dearly love to see Arry stay, but I fear there are 20,000,000 reasons over 4 years that will convince him to wave us a fond farewell :(

Spot on Russell. He will probably have made his mind up and it has come at the wrong time for Pompey because HR is on a low after arrest and no investment in window.

i would feel let down if harry left. i dont think he will, but the posibilty is casting a shadow of any prospects for the club. inseidentally, sky sports are saying we have put in/accpeted (i cnt remember) £9million bids for Fred.

I've just read the stuff on Fred, which seems pretty genuine although why Spurs would bid £2m more is beyond me. Is Berbatov on his way? Has the Anelka move opened the market? I.e. Bolton will buy Taylor, Utd will buy Berbatov to match the Anelka move and there will be a tussle for Fred between us and Spurs?
