Kranjcar not interested in moving on

Niko Kranjcar has told The News that he has no interest in leaving Pompey this month or in the immediate future: 'I'm happy here, I'm not even thinking about bigger clubs.

'I'm thinking about playing as well as possible for Portsmouth in every game.

'I've had highs and lows. Now I want to enjoy myself and stay on a high for as long as possible.

'I'm not thinking about other clubs or people and what they think of me'.

To be honest I did not even know of any talk linking him with a move away from Pompey - so this is news to me, however it is still good to hear.

The better he performs the more likely the inevitable 'links' with a move away will grow, but so long as he is happy and playing regular football here he has no reason to move on. For us to continue to grow - as hard as it can be to resist big money offers and for players to reject big clubs when they come calling - keeping players such as Kranjcar is vital.

He may have gone a little 'quiet' recently but he has played a big part in our season so far and has really started living up to his billing when he arrived, which most of us always knew and believed would be the case anyway.

Just what you would expect him to say. He probably believes it too but if a big club came knocking of course he would be stupid not to consider it. Having said all that I have always been a Krunchie lover and hope he stays for years to come.

This worries me, as soon as a player says they don't want to move on, the next thing you know is that they're off.

its strange that this has been said - as i havent heard of any interest from anyone... not a single bit of rumour or speculation. maybe he is just trying to cheer everyone up at the lack of arrivals...
