3 is the magic number...

Pompey need to sign players this month, this much we know, but it will be 3 that come in! Not my vote, yours - although these findings from eastneydave's poll are thoughts that I would not disagree with.

We look likely to be limited to loan or freebie signings this month, with the money signings likely to only happen if we sell players - which really we cannot afford to do can we?

If we can get in 3 players, with little or no players going the other way that will not be bad business but I would say that these players arriving need to be a striker, a right sided midfielder and a creative midfielder. If we can cover these 3 areas then I think we would have done ok.

This is Harry Redknapp's favourite time so although 3 would not be a bad amount I would not bet against him doing more business than this, it is quite conceivable that 3 will arrive on deadline day alone...

The 3rd round of the FA cup is always a special day, and always a day I really look forward to. This season we travel to Ipswich but will that be as far as we go, or can we carry on our fine away form and claim another win? Maybe it will end in a draw and a replay will be needed?
