Kranjcar fancies all 3pts

Niko Kranjcar feels that we can - and will - go to Anfield this year not only looking to contain Liverpool, but with the quality we now have we are also more than capable of beating them - not that he is of course going there expecting it.

We go to Anfield looking for a 7th straight away league win and as we are a different side to the one we were as little as 12 months ago as he told The News 'we could damage them': 'last season was all about defence for us, but it will be very different this time.

'We got a draw last season and we were happy with the point we won, but we could only defend.

'This time I think we can also try to damage them.

'Their home form is very good, so you know that you cannot go to Anfield and say "we are going to get three points" but we have a lot of quality in our team and hopefully on this day, it can happen.

'We have won our last six games on the road and we can give every team a game in this league. Why can't we give Liverpool a game?'

Why not indeed mate, I am with him 100%.

Last season we battled for all we were worth to come away with a 0-0 draw, whilst we would understandably take this again this season we will also have the ambition, the players and the ability to get something more if we have a bit of luck and do ourselves justice.

An issue regarding an area that could win or lose us this game has got me thinking that it will be very interesting to see what Harry Redknapp does with John Utaka for this game?

The fella has been off form for a couple of months on the whole and as much as I would like to see him dropped to be honest - as I feel we have basically been playing with 9 outfield players for most of this period - Liverpool are lacking pace at the back, so if the real Utaka turns up as he has pace to burn he could cause a lot of trouble...

Niko says "We can give every team a game in this league"... shows how much attention he showed to the game against Spurs last week then doesn't it ! - I'd settle for a 0-0 draw right now .. I'd love us to go there and win but just can't see it happening. As for the Utaka question.. Rug you have a fair point but you know what will happen .. Liverpool lack pace at the back so we will play..... Kanu !!

Away day Blues

We can be brilliant one game and then woeful the next...usually after we've won (usually pretty well) at home but then we lose away, as we did at Blackpool.
