'If It's Football, It's Vital'

2m for Matty Taylor - yea right...

Okay so Matty Taylor might, well in fact he probably will leave Pompey in January but the reports that the Daily Mail are offering up are ludicrous...

It says that Fulham are, and get this 'considering' offering 2m for Taylor!

2m that would not even buy his weaker right foot let along his magic wond of a left foot.

I know Christmas is a time for giving and the New Year often sees the 'sales' but Taylor is worth - at a rock bottom price - at least double that amount, so if he was sold for as little as 2m, or should I say Pompey allowed him to leave for 2m I would be absolutely disgusted...

Market values are ridiculous at the moment especially in the Premiership. That's why a second-rate striker can move across London for 16.5million and a top world class striker can move from Italy to Germany for only 10.5million. With that thought, Matt has to worth 6-8million? Ha ha ha.

Agree whizz, he must be worth 5 at a minimum. Depends how much arry wants the money...swap deal at Reading for Lita on the cards???
bluedr
Or Defoe from Spuds + a player on loan for rest of season
yellowcheesemonkey
Talyor is a family man, he lives in Oxford, easy travelling from Reading!!.

Lita would be a great purchase. He's a young striker with a lot of potential who seems to have fallen off the radar so value could be good for us.
stillthewhizz
We'd offer 2m if were buying, so you can understand others taking the****. Of course when he goes (bl00dy shame) we will want 5m+.
storagematt
So how do we achieve the 11pts to the 8% (as it stands) who have voted it???
storagematt
taylor will go wont he - that much we almost certainly know, damn shame but there you go... i reckon that his going will be of part of some other deal bringing a player to pompey, but who? lets see... spurs want him, defoe and cash - from pompey - would see business done... reading want him, lita and cash - from reading - would see a deal... villa want him, cash could do a deal, please god dont let them offer us harewood again, luckily we missed him once... fulham want him, do they have a player that we might want?
pompeyrug
like i said matt people know a new rule coming into action - bonus pts :-)
pompeyrug
2 MILLION quid...Hey someone is having a laugh surely?...He might want to go but we don't have to sell, do we?
pentonpompey
no way he goes for 2 mill, besides there is a chance he may not even go (crossing my fingers)

Special Offers at Fratton Park this week include...... Knock down prices on quality players (Taylor) ... Buy one midfielder (Hughsie) get another one (Pedro) free.... Quality seconds at half original price (Nugent) and 20% off damaged goods Cranie... and wait for it..... Ex-display model Utaka going for a song.. I wonder what we will pick up though ??
Chix
it funny that you should say the knock down prices bit Chix - as from what i have been told we probably will be selling at knock down prices... so as stupid as 2m for matty taylor sounds it could be true... but i hope not!
pompeyrug
haha chix, love it. didnt we reject a matt taylor + 5m deal for defoe in august?
