Redknapp ready to work his magic

Harry Redknapp looks like he is going to work the transfer market like he does best after he told The News that something will come up for Pompey in the transfer window and he is not panicking: 'Something always comes up, so I won't panic. We'll keep looking and see what we can come up with.

'I'm sure there are one or two out there somewhere.

'I'm making lots of enquiries about who might be available.

'We'll be looking home or abroad and it might be a case of getting a loan with a view to a permanent deal.

This is more like it isn't it, this is what we want to hear from Redknapp not the constant 'I only have 14 players, I cannot buy anyone as I have no money' and so on... although most of us feel this is all a 'smokescreen' anyway.

Whilst the vast majority of us do believe that he - and the club - are playing down the transfer situation and the amount of funds that will be available, as we would be very surprised not to see money spent next month it clearly will not be anywhere near the amount we spent during the summer, but my thinking is it could lay the foundations for similar spending next summer with loans players arriving with permanent deals lined up.

Redknapp always works his magic in the transfer window, he will no doubt do it again during next month - and I feel sure we will get the extra quality in that we need to push on from our fantastic start this season so we do not become 'second half of the season chokers' as one delightful Spurs fan had labelled us several times, with his many recent 'words of wisdom' - he knows who he is...

The obscene millions Spurs have spent they should be top 6 minimum. Whilst they are below us they have no argument about what we do. Go wave the magic Harry, we trust in you.

he will work that magic, he always does and when he does we will have that last laugh and will be laughing harder than some of our newly aquired 'friends'... loan deal with arrangements at the end of them could see some interesting arrivials.

Course HR will come up with goods and the sooner the better before the boys head off to Africa, time to bed in etc. HR is at his best at time like this.

Matt there's talk of £20 million for David Villa to Spurs now. I would normally laugh at such speculation but Spurs are mad enough to do that kind of thing. They need to build from the back up, not spend money on another striker! The money they've spent on their team is quite hilarious. Enough off Spurs though, I'm done with talking about them, what with one of my mates being a fan.

yuo dont often get that much money spent in january do you, if you have spent a fortune in the summer - which most, including us did - a large amount, even for a new manager is unlikely isnt it...

It's gonna be an interesting time again fellas.. I see lots of movement as a) there a Euro championshios this summer and a lot of players who aren't currently playing will want to maove to try and heighten their cances of selection....then there's the unusal situation that there has already been a bit of a manager merry go round this year ... not something that normally happens in the premiership... well not before January anyhow ... !

ur right chix, but on the other hand it may work the other way as well, some teams will decide to hold on to their 'star' players untill the summer, to have them show off their skills and earn their teams a little more money
