Do not forget that some of the fellas from Vital Pompey will be involved in a match of the day 2 feature tonight.

Yesterday - both before and after the defeat to Spurs - some of this sites members were interviewed by Kevin Day for this feature - so make sure that if you can you tune in tonight at 10.50pm on BBC1 - yep we are with the big boys this week, promoted from the usual BBC2 slot...

In the meantime there are some images in the forum that are worth a look at, so click here.

I did and those feckers scared me half to death! What do they put in the water down your part of the world?
not quite sure, but ive never been a fan of it myself tbh maybe thats why im not such a broozer myself - too much 'fancy' soft devonshire water for me over the past 20 years i reckon...
dont forget to watch the fellas tonight tho - im looking forward to it!
Blimey boys, i didn't know what to expect, lets just say not one of you looks how I thought you disrespect, sometimes you just get this picture, and the reality is so different...
Penton I know what you mean it's funny innit ... when I first met Dave I thought he'd be a lot older and would be wearing a Tribey on his head .. and when I met Storagematt for the first time yesterday he was a older than I imagined (Sorry Matt) ... Me on the other hand had a very poor bodydouble stand in for me .... He was at least twenty years older than what I actually am ... Honest !!
Actually chix i thought you'd be older!?!? Storage looks taller than i imagined, Dave is Grayer than I envisaged. Of course the likeness of me to George Clooney is purely subjective...ha ha
Chix, I'm only 41. The lack of hair & grey whats left is due to 30+ years of following Pompey. 6ft 1 & 14 stone. Born & bred in Pompey with English father (ex Navy) & Mother from Malta thus the all year tan.
Chix I am glad i look younger than you thought. Won't give away my age but born in 1951. I agree though I expected Matt to be younger but that is an impression from his etchings. Never owned a trilby never will by the way.
i hope one is too disappointed with the interviews tonight. Other than us they did a lot of others too. After the pre match I met them again on the north side of the ground doing what they call vox pops.
wow, the time for people to say what they really think of each other is now. anyway lads u all look like pompey fans so im pleased. if that makes sense...
i thought chix would look like an old golloum, (not sure where all these LOTR references are coming from), but he looks like ray winston.........AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
I'll settle for Ray Winston... means I can play Harry Redknapp in the forthcoming movie... 'Bung us a fiver gezz' .. showing at all good cinemas next Xmas ...
Wel I can be Jamo, may need a wig though?
T minus 1 hour......
There will be a number of DVDs that will recording 2nite. On sale in all good high street shops & ebay very soon.
30 mins to go - sorry for a prolonged absence today fellas... i was up all night with ear infections - obviously no doctor over the weekend means i have to wait until tomorrow to get some pills for the paid! - so ive been trying to get 'comfortable' for most of the day and have not really fancied sitting infront of the computer too much today, i did for a while this morning and will for a while now before motd2 - arsenal and united games will be on first tho wont tho, altho we might be sandwiched in between?
It's on now, come on you vital blues!!!!!!!!!!!!
yep, i reckon it will be between the two games... or knowing the motd 'lineker team' he will want it after the arsenal game?
after the arsenal game then...
Probably after all the other highlights from yesterday!
here we go!
well done lads.
Well done lads you did us proud, and not much teeth chattering either, although you looked like you were freezing Dave...
fantastic stuff fellas - you did yourself, portsmouth football club and vital pompey proud... naturals in front of the camera.
its a funny old world but it seems ive met yoy two guys several time as you sit next to my old dad well at least storage sit behind him and i think chix missus sits next him 72 dd is it? I often have his tkt when he is on hols
plymouth graham
Well I took my best mate Dave (non VP member) & he said more air time than me. So strange to see yourself on widescreen BBC1. Thanks for the chance Rug. Shame about the game.
get dave signed up mate :-) you all did a grand job, i bet it was strange seeing yourself on the box - just imagine how many millions of people saw that!
Good to see proper football fans excited and following a proper football team, and I'm not being patronising before someone slags me off for supporting Spurs, good luck to pompey, hope you come fifth (or fourth) as it would take a miracle for us to catch you lot now. It would be a boost for all of us if Portsmouth, Spurs, Everton, M citeh or Blackburn broke into the top four gloryhunters. I know the hype said it was gonna be us, but as it's not going to be I hope it is one of you lot!
i dont think anyone would have thought that anyway, but well said mate... im convinced that someone new will break into the top 4 this season, i was certain it would be spurs - maybe it still could be, but you have left yourself a hell of alot to do havent you? - but im with you i think it will happen...
Yeah, it's gonna be uphill for us. Funnily enough I've got tickets for Pompey at white hart lane, so I wish you well until then!
Yes I was freezing and only just thawed out. That was take FOUR where I am on the pitch you know!! Looks like they cut all the cliches out Chix was complaining about and all the facts I threw at KD too. Didn't tell you before but have done TV in the past. Great fun and thanks Rug for organising.
Just watched it.. well we all made it on the box if even for a few seconds.. great effort lads on one of the coldest days of my feet are still defrosting now
Haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but have recorded it, so I've got this pleasure to come. Look forward to it.
Chix - We need to do something about the grey don't we? But yes great effort
i could have put 'the youth' back into it had i gone :-) im only joking fellas, i really enjoyed it - got my folks to watch it too and will be putting it onto disc and showing anyone and everyone...
Absolutely - you weren't there but you get all the credit for the way the site has grown and caught the eyes of BBC researchers. Then it had to be organised as well. Do we know what happened to OwensPompey?
nope, im not having that dave its a team effort and my thoughts are always 'there is no i in team'... not a clue - ive thought about it several times. i did notice him in the forum around 1pm on saturday i think, which made me think that he might not have made it in the end, unless he has a laptop or found somewhere to use a computer?
Rug the reason i was logged on was thit i had not logged off from Friday!! We were delayed by an accident on the M6 and then we were delayed at Oxford and Winchester, and got parked at five to three, so i apollogise lads.
Owens no need to apologise mate. We realised you had been delayed and carried on without you. In fact Matt and Chix had so much to say I doubt, like me, you would have got a word in sideways:-). We must all meet up again another time.
We should organise a meet up. Once or twice a year or whenever for those not that local. Something to plan for & look forward to. End of season bash, next Xmas. Come on Rug let's get the 1st Vital Pompey party.
its in the pipeline matt - ive mentioned it in the forum before that its something that i would really like us to do - im thinking that perhaps in the summer, maybe if we have a home pre season game or something, we could then book out somewhere for either before or after the game and with it being a pre season game we shouldn't have problems getting a ehole bunch of tickets together either? a christmas do would be another good idea... maybe not everyone's cup of tea but we could maybe even have some kind of vital football awards thing - ive seen other vital sites do them, come up with a few categories, and if any are 'member' related the winner(s) could be presented with their awards - or prizes for the competitions that are run... something can/will be organsied.
oh, and Owens as i said in my email to you mate - the fact that you and yours are okay was the main thing, my concern was that maybe something had happened, glad it wasnt the case for you.
