Gunners sell out, Spurs selling fast

Gunners sell out, Spurs selling fast

Unsurprisingly tickets for Pompey's game with Arsenal at Fortress Fratton have sold out - despite the ludicrous 7.45pm kick off time on Boxing Day.

This game had been moved for TV coverage, which once again gave little or no consideration to the fans of either side around the festive period, but so long as the TV bosses get what they want that's the main thing isn't it...

Either way, the game - which proves to be a Christmas cracker - has sold out.

Before this Pompey welcome Arsenal's rivals Spurs to The Fortress in our next home game, taking place on Saturday 15th December with this being a 3pm kick off.

Only a few tickets remain for this game, which looks like being another complete sell-out.

Could Spurs be the game in which Pompey finally start firing at hone again? Given the abysmal defence that Spurs appear to have this season surely we will at least score for the first time in 3 home games...

Yes, I can confirm Pompey WILL score against Spurs on the 15th, probably at least 2 goals, but you will do well to keep a clean sheet against us.

Hopefully we catch Spurs still asleep at the back & score a few but even without Keene, thay can score few. It will be a tad tougher against Arsenal.

if we score at least 2 against spurs mate i think that would probably be enough for us to win...

arsenal are in great form this season but tbh i would still be disappointed if they left the fortress with all 3pts - even the likes of arsenal, united, liverpool and chelski are not 'too good' to warrant a shrug of the shoulders and accepting a defeat are they...

Of course we'll score past Spurs, they've got Robinson haven't they?

Glad the Arsenal game has sold out, got my tickets! Did wonder if it would being on at that ridiculous time. There'll be no public transport to go home - so all the people who have public transport concerns about the new stadium can have a practice run!

Good point tracy, seriously though, should be a good game. 2-2 I reckon.

agreed tracyc, the fact that the time is at such a poor time for that time of year is a disgrace - tv rules the roost once again... altho this said, arsenal was always likely to sell out wasnt it...

whatever the outcome of the pompey v spurs game i still reckon spurs will be hard pushed to catch us this season - you have given yourself a huge mountain to climb havent you...

Doub't if we'll get 6 points points from both the North London games... I'd be happy with 4 ... 3 is more likely ... but then again 2 would see us remain unbeaten at home... 1 is also a possiblity...0 however would be a disaster..
