'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bouba Diop demands Pompey claim 3pts

Fratton Park is still Fortress Fratton in the respect that we seldom lose here, but Papa Bouba Diop has told the Pompey site how he wants it to be a winning fortress again.

As he himself says in order to stay where we are - if not rise yet further - we need to start turning the draws into victories - much the same as the likes of United, Arsenal and Chelsea do on their own patch.

Yep, we are still unbeaten in the league at home this season and are unbeaten at home in the league for 9 months, but it is the fantastic away form, surprisingly enough, that is serving us so well this season so he wants us to start not only just avoiding defeat at home, but avoiding this with victories too, starting with 3 points against Everton this weekend: 'They had a great result last week but I don't care if they scored seven goals or even ten goals.

'The will be confident but so will we because we are playing well and we are at home.

'We will make it hard for them because our stadium is small and intimidating and it should be a good match.

'I just want us to win the game - we must win the game'.

The big man has spoken; I am not going to argue with him - would you!

The game with Everton does start a testing month for us; a month that in my thinking could quite possibly determine which way our season goes? If we start it well it will put us in a positive frame of mind to kick on, if we do not then it could be a long month ahead...

Sadly with the good times we've lost a little of the atmosphere at 'Fortress Fratton'. It's hardly going to work with just me on here but I'm calling out all those in the South Stand to stop **** moaning and get behind the team. Some of the faces of the old boys in the South are deadly.

Yes the next two games are 6 pointers but not the type we are used to. This time we are up and if we could win them both it would put us well on the way to ...wherever we want to go.

Well if Pa-pa (Nicole) demands we get three points I'll expect to see him run his arse of on Saturday.. Mind you in firness he normally does.. one of the surprise package of the season for me

he certainly is, i was not amused when he signed - but quickly decided to give him a chance, and he has proved another inspired 'arry signing.
