Pompey debate of the day (28/11/07)
Midge asked if I could start a little something new, something for us to use to put forward our ideas to maybe show our support to Harry Redknapp in song. This is what he had to say...
Can't we have a song competition ahead of the weekend? Something NEW for the fans to sing (even without Johnny and his Mini-me's approval). Something the fans can sing like... PLEASE DON'T GO… PLEASE DON'T GO... or Hurry up Harry don't go? I don't know, I'm no good at writing songs, but you get the jist.
Maybe pompeyrug could start a new letter about improving the Songs around Fratton Park, get some ideas from the troops.
So, here you are mate, this is it.
Really Redknapp should not need a song or songs sung to him to know how much he means to us and how much we want him to stay, but what would you like to hear Pompey fans sing to him at Fortress Fratton against Everton this weekend?
It can be something old, something new or even something you have made up, just leave your ideas.
