Redknapp wont get the England job

Redknapp wont get the England job

Harry Redknapp will not be given the England job! Not my vote, yours - although these findings from pompeyrug's poll are thoughts that I share, at least in hope anyway.

Despite the growing support that Redknapp is getting - there was even more of this on ITV4's champions league build up program last night - when asked to vote what we really thought would happen and not what we do or do not want to happen an overwhelming amount believe that the FA will not offer Redknapp the job...

I am still unsure, I sincerely hope that he is not offered the job and whilst something is telling me he is not likely to be the fella the FA will turn to - hence my vote of no - I am still worried that his backing and growing support could see him get it.

Basically it all depends what the FA want, if they take the English route then Redknapp is the most likely man to get the job, but if they take the foreign approach again - as is heavily tipped - we will be okay.

What the poll asked - Forget what you want, a simple yes or no - do you THINK Redknapp will get the England job?

How you voted - No 78%, Yes 22%

Current Poll - Pompey return to the Fortress this weekend, with Everton the visitors.

We won again at Birmingham last weekend, can we continue this unbeaten run and stretch our 9 month unbeaten home run against the Toffees - this is what pompeyrug wants to know with this - 'Pompey v Everton?' Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

Let's hope not. We need him more than England. Give HR some national recognition, which is what he wants but leave it at that, please.

i think he has got so much support and backing he knows just how highly he is thought of not only by pompey fans but football fans in general - so as you say storage hopefully it'll be left alone now... i see that 'the special one' is invitting an offer from the fa? i wouldnt mess around if it was me, i would have him in the job tomorrow if he really wanted it.

No Crawley return for Tubbs

Tubbs doesn't have a future at Pompey, he's on the transfer-list but offloading him could be difficult given his wages. These wouldn't be anywhere within Crawley's reach.

Pitfalls of Sheffield Wednesday loanee returning

As Catlin put it 'the gamble' of aiming sign Sheffield Wednesday loanee Lavery has to be one Pompey fans understand. It isn't as cut and dried as saying 'he's a free agent' sign him!

Lassie coming home...well sort of!

A-box-to-box player, capable of defensive duties, with ability to burst forward with intent to make things happen - Diarra is Pompey's man and wants an England return. I jest of course!

Will pair stay at Fratton?

It's been made (more than once) clear by Catlin Pompey want Davies & Hollands to stay. Both (also more than once) have said they want to this - deals have to be right for all concerned.
