3pts for Pompey please!

Pompey will beat Birmingham tomorrow! Not my vote, yours - although these findings from pompeyrug's poll are thoughts I completely agree with.

With all due respect to our opponents, despite us being away and also despite us not having the best of records at St Andrews I am convinced that we will come back from Birmingham with all 3 points - to be honest I would almost be disappointed if we did not, a point minimum has to be the least we should expect?

It will not be easy by any means but these are the types of games that we need to make the most of if we are to really reach our true potential this season.

With the way we line up now, our formation and style is much more suited to our away games, so if we make a flying start - a la Newcastle a few weeks ago - we could rip them apart... not that I am expecting this, just winning will do me, however we can achieve this.

What the poll asked - Birmingham v Pompey?

How you voted - Pompey win 71%, Draw 22%, Birmingham win 7%

Current Poll - England did not make it toe Euro 2008, but at least Spineless Steve finally got what he deserved - the boot!

Many names have been suggested, with many of them ruling themselves out, Harry Redknapp is not one of them to do so though - should we worry? But who do you want the next England manager to be - this is what The Rabbi, whitestones and pompeycarpet - who all send me the same poll ideas, which I combined - want to know with this - 'Who should be the next England manager?' Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

Do we know yet if Kanu & Uttaka are fit for tomorrow?
tracyc
I know it was a while ago and I know we are almost a totally different team but the 5-0 whipping that they dealt us still hurts to think about! So I am hoping we win very convincingly!
Sachas_Brother
in certain that we will win, also feel that we will win well... im pretty sure that both are fit tracyc - utaka almost certainly from what he has been saying, kanu tbh i wouldnt be so concerned about if he wasnt, altho we would also cope without utaka.
pompeyrug
Sky are saying Utaka is fit and Kanu is doubtful - like you say, less important as Kanu is less likely to play. Utaka is a great boost, and the wardrobe's back from suspension - I think we'll take them apart!
tracyc
Yep your team news looks about right Tracey, so apart from Kanu we will be at full strength, and i would not be suprised to see him on the bench at least, then again the Nuge could be the man.
Owenspompey
we have to go itno the game expecting the win - if we have any kind of ambitions whatsoever - but i just feel that we will slip up. same as i felt we would slip up in every game so far...but its that watford factor i will never get over...
pompeycarpet
The international break hasn't helped but I still fancy us to win.
storagematt
tbh i thought the break came at the right time for us, it gave us time to take stock and re-think things and maybe work on a new game plans for our home matches...
pompeyrug
After the Brum game, we have one hell of a December. All very tough games against teams who will be above & at worst right behind us. It makes the Birmingham game an important one to win.
storagematt
im looking forward to december - this should give us an indication of 'how good' we really are and how good a season we will have...
pompeyrug
...another reason to look forward to it is the fact that i will be at the opening 2 games of the month - everton and villa!
pompeyrug
Wouldn't class Middlesboro as a club that will be above or near us storage.. just being picky ;) But yep December does look like one hell of a month ... No presents for any player unless we get a minimum of fifteen points !!.. Now wouldn't that be a happy Xmas ... Safe by New Years Day.
Chix
i still reckon we can get through until the new year unbeaten fellas...
