Gutierrez & D'Alessandro not for us?

Gutierrez & D'Alessandro not for us?

Pompey will sign neither Jonas Gutierrez of Andres D'Alessandro! Not my vote, yours - although these findings from pompeyrug's poll are thoughts I would agree with, but not completely.

Harry Redknapp has dismissed speculation linking Pompey to either Gutierrez or D'Alessandro, which in itself does not make it the case. Whilst I would not say that we will sign either it would not surprise me if we did sign one to be honest - so it cannot be completely ruled out.

Maybe we will not sign either, but my money would probably be more in favour of D'Alessandro out of the two - with him also being the one that most believed we might sign out of the pair.

What the poll asked - Who are Pompey most likely to sign?

How you voted - Neither 62%, Andres D'Alessandro 24%, Jonas Gutierrez 7%, Both 7%

Current Poll - We are almost at the end of another international break, so action with Pompey can return.

Clearly we all want whatever country we are from to do well, but for those of us that are English do we care more about Pompey or England, a nice simple question which I think I will know the answer too - this is what The Rabbi wants to know with this - 'who do you care more about?' Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

D'Alessandro was a good player during his spell with us but we have enough strength in depth in our midfield now not to need to buy him.

I still think he would be good to have around, it is another attacking option for us,and goals will get us into Europe as the defeence is so strong

dont need d'alesandro, dont want the greedy, cheating spiderman. we need a right midfield replacement, (for when matty gets injured :-)... ) and whilst i would love it to be luka modric (another croation), he will go to chelski or arsneal, so i dont know who...

but spiderman is a right sided midfielder isnt he and d'alessandro could easily play there too... my money is still on it being one of these two fellas - d'alessandro being the most likely in my opinion.

As long as we dont go back for Routeledge as the cheap option, think big Harry go out and get us a class act.

Gutierrez is overpriced, and D'Alessandro is not a right midfielder (although maybe he could be trained like Kranjcar was), there are a lot of names floating out there, i think harry is just bidding his time

at £7m spiderman is well overpriced - but its this joint ownership issue that is driving the price up... i reckon that d'alessandro could be moulded into a 'complete' player just as krunchie has - i also believe that he has been playing on the right alot for zaragoza?

There's a long way to go before the window opens but whether either of these materalises or not I'm certain 'arry will be a right sided midfielder... probably a winger... Time will tell... The Lord will guide us my children

Match highlights - Pompey 0-1 Orient

Disappointing as it was, you take the rough with the smooth and cannot gloss over things when they aren't so good so here goes with the 1-0 defeat Pompey suffered against Orient.

Simply not good enough!

Call me a moaner, call me a groaner but if you think the performance against Orient was good enough then I think you're wearing blue tinted specs as that was poor from Pompey.
