Pompey competition update #13

Vital Fantasy Football - 'Pompey mini league'

After the latest round of league games of the 2007/08 season once again there is no change in the top 3 - so the current leader in the Vital Fantasy Football 'Pompey mini league' remains The Pompey Chimes on 479 points, who retains top spot for a 5th week running. Crazy Cats has 433 points to remain the closest challenger, also retaining 2nd spot for a 5th week, with Always Victory on 410 points in 3rd, again for a 5th week running.

The Pompey Chimes, Crazy Cats and Always Victory are in the top 80 of almost 4500 entries overall - in 3rd, 26th and 76th places respectively - congratulations fellas, particularly The Pompey Chimes who retains 3rd place for a 2nd week running, cracking stuff mate!

I dropped back down again from 31st - 32nd spot in the Pompey mini league this week and also dropped from 2845th - 3087th place overall, I think it is safe to say Harry Redknapp will not be grooming me to take over at Pompey!

'Pompey predictions league'

It was a bad week in the Pompey Predictions League for the Man City game for everyone as no one picked up a single point.

Chix retain top spot for a 8th week running on 32 points overall. Pompeyrug keeps 2nd spot for a 7th week running, on 32 points as well. Linvoyforengland retains 3rd for a 2nd week running with 24 points in total.

If you missed out on predicting for the City match, as well as any others it is never too late - just start with your predictions for the next with Birmingham away a week Saturday. So if you have not already made your predictions on this game with Birmingham do it here.

i got something from pompey in the mail - but i have not had a chance of opening it yet... i see you had a pretty decent 1st week in the fantasy football Gleamer 30 odd pts wasnt it? you will soon catch up with me!
pompeyrug
haha, yes a pretty good week, how do you get transfers because Ive got anelka, and he doesnt evcen play!
PompeyGleamer
after a bright start in the fantasy football, i changed my team around, and then fell to peices...doh!
pompeycarpet
you have only been in the game for a week mate - dont forget its the international break so have alittle patience... anelka is injured, thats why he isnt playing but i dont think its anything major.
pompeyrug
ahhh i see, thanks, well i was thinking of putting that jones fella into the side, as he seems to bagging a few, and I might take out traoare and replace him
PompeyGleamer
yep, jones is doing well - not sure how many goals he will score tho? you must have been short for cash mate if you picked traore... i love matty taylor but i think its time i took him out, fancy johnson to replace him tho!
pompeyrug
sorrty not traore, toure! haha, i dont thnk he will be in the team. ye i think its time you let him go, although be prepared to bring him back in january.
PompeyGleamer
i wouldnt take toure out if i were you mate he is a fantastic defender and will score a few goals this season - arsenal wont concede many either..
pompeyrug
he didnt pick up many points on monday.
PompeyGleamer
but thats just 1 game - come on mate give him a chance, defenders arent going to pick up points every week are they? but for shorey's late goal he would have had a clean sheet...
