Keep Frogmore and the Sailor!

Keep Frogmore and the Sailor!

Pompey need to keep Frogmore and that sailor bloke that stands by the tunnel! Not my vote, yours - although these findings from The Rabbi's poll are thoughts I share.

To be honest I am not really a big fan of Frogmore, the blue frog just irritates me, but the kids like him so for that simple fact I would be happy for us to keep him rather than take him to the nearest pond and leave him in it.

As far as the 'sailor bloke who stands by the tunnel' is concerned I am a bit of a sentimental fool and as this particular character has such a connection with Pompey I feel that we need to be keeping this character for all time. Some things you outgrow, or have to move on from - the Portsmouth by Mike Oldfield music we recently spoke about for example - but the sailor will never be outgrown, will it?

What the poll asked - Should Pompey get rid of their mascot, Frogmore and that sailor bloke who stands by the tunnel?

How you voted - No 75%, Yes 12%, Who am I? 8%, Can't be bothered 5%, Can't decide 0%

Current Poll - England lost in Russia last week, this defeat not only puts us closer to not qualifying but also Spineless Steve closer to the exit door.

Sooner or later Spineless will be replaced as England manager - surely - but when he is who will it be, or at least who would you like it to be, that is what NinjaTim wants to know with this - 'next England Boss? It'll happen sooner or later so let's pre-empt the pundits with a poll.' Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

Rug - I think the poll is flawed :) The Rabbi never gave us the option of keeping the sailor and squashing the frog. I for one (and I know there are others, including yourself by all accounts) who beleive the frog should go, but we should keep the traditional Pompey Saiilor. As I've said before the sailor is a long standing piece of our history and those like me who can remember the days of buying the 'blue' fooball mail will surely want him to stay for all time .... Anyhow's if he goes I'd have to change my picture in the forums ...

Is there any truth in the rumours that Owenspompey is the Pompey Sailor and that Russellm is actually the the person parading around the pitch in disguise as Fromore ...?

Chix if it got me in for nothing i would dig my old old uniform out and parade round the ground. Mind you i dont think it would fit me now!! Frogmore does a decent job for the kids and leave him alone if he keeps them happy, most clubs have a mascot now so we are not alone. I forgot how much i looked like Richard Gere in my uniform!!Ding Dong

but i originally intended to pose the questions, should frogmore get acquainted with a liquidizer? and should the next time the stupid sailor points his " hey i don't know you really but will pretend i do" finger can it be removed and shoved up his back side?
