'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Now that cant be bad can it!

If you are not going to watch Pompey take on Wigan at the JJB, you are in the Pompey area on Saturday night and you plan on watching England in the Rugby world cup final then the Pompey Sports Bar could be the place to be.

It is only £1.50 per pint - which when you think what some places charge is fantastic - and it is free to get in. The added bonus - besides cheering the egg chasers onto hopefully another world cup triumph, to restore some national pride after the footballers defeat in Russia - is the fact that you could also win some free matchday prizes too.

If you buy a drink you enter a competition to win a hospitality table for 10 at the league cup match with Blackburn, if England win the world cup then there will be another competition for a pair of tickets to watch the league cup match.

Had I lived in the area - which sadly I do not - as I will be watching the Rugby anyway at less than two quid a pint - with the added benefit of being able to win something - I would be down there. Although to be honest at the same time if I did live in the area I would have probably taken advantage of the free coach travel - so if I could have got on a coach I would have been travelling back from Pompey's match at the JJB!

Either way this is another fine offer, something, which I am sure plenty will take advantage of as they look to cheer England onto world cup glory - if only we could one day say that about the football again…

All that is left to say now is come on Pompey and England, not forgetting Lewis Hamilton in the Grand Prix - make mine a double, in fact a treble.

Lewis Hamilton? F1? on a football site? Is Nigel mansell still racing?
The Rabbi
Sunseekers, the last I heard.
Come on England, Come on Hamilton, come on Villa (you'll join in with that, we are playing Man Utd!) come on the lottery (for me you greedy sods). :o)
The Fear
man u will finish above us, so i dont care about them. thats i want you to drop points agains tthe big 4 ;) but come on hamilton, come on england, cme on pompey!
were all british - well clearly not all of us :-) arent we, so we want the brits - or more to the point in this case English - to go well dont we, football, F1, rugby whatever it is - and at less than 2 quid a pint, well what can you say... and of course we want to see united lose too dont we - dont we? i know i do all the time...
and fellas dont forget the 'pompey previous encounters' idea - click here... there is still time to share before the wigan game - just put your thoughts down in writing and email them to me and i will get them added :-)
And 15% off at the online store until Monday. What are Pompey becoming a charity?
grrr...wish i had waited untill it was 15% off - not the 11% off when i bought my shirt ;-). It looks like a lot is being done to attract new fans at the moment - what with the price cuts, free coach team playing well...
another cracking sport weekend, my liver is delighted, its going to be touch and go if i can get back to london then to harlequins rugby club for any of the WC final. Should sober up in time to watch Lewis
....... and don't forget the English U21's ladies polo team have a very important game too ......
Carpet - Me too about the 15% ... I thought I was getting a bargain the other week when I spent £40 of my hard earned in the shop and was delighted with my 11% off.... Oh well, I was happy at the time so no complaints ..... On a serious note the quality of what they sell (clothing) is top draw and good value for money irrespective of discounts .. I'm well impressed, so much better than previous years ..
Chix. I hate to tell you but their horses drowned in the warm up.
I share the same racing knowledge as The Rabbi. Schumacher usually wins all time, amirite?
£1.50 a pint? I'll be paying nearer £2.50, but the sentiment is the same "come on ENGLAND"
I see we beat the French at conkers last week as well, no really!
that puts usworld conker champions, world tidleywink champions...only rugby, football and F1 to go (of the worlds major sports)
Storage - bugger the horses, it's the U21 ladies I'll be watching...
.... did I just say 'bugger the horses ?' .... obviously not literally..
...... am I digging a deeper hole (there I go again) .... Back on topic (what was the topic?........scrolls to top of the page and back down again) ....... Don't think I've anything futher to say
i think you are mate - i wouldnt have even noticed had you not pointed it out, the u21 ladies is what caught my eye :-)
i was another seduced by the 11% off - with free benji printing too... i'd have liked 15% off, but i like the benji printing more!
I think I can stay up for the Pompey game on the interactive FOX SPORTS here in Sydney where you can watch one of 4 games scheduled for 12 Midnight (Sorry 3 PM) but I don't think the matchsticks will last come 5AM for the Rugby. I would like to wake and here that England has done it again and pulled off one of the most miraculous comebacks in World Sport - but should they lose they have still done us proud again - against all odds and critics alike.
AND, they ran out of letters for the benjani printing!
...and I bet they didn't offer you the chance to bring it back in later and get it done for nothing when stocks had been replinished
gutted, that happened with me wen i wnted the YAK
