The Emirates is the away place to be

The Emirates is the away place to be

If it is not the Fortress then it is the Emirates for me! Not my vote, yours - although these findings from NinjaTim's poll are thoughts that I would probably agree with.

I have actually only been to one of the grounds in the particular poll, this being the Stadium of Light - which I thought was a very nice ground, with a decent atmosphere and the facilities were not bad.

As much as it pained me to do so I actually voted for White Hart Lane, as I must admit that the atmosphere - one of the first things I like about a ground - does seem to be very good whenever I have seen Spurs on the box and the ground does not looked too shabby either.

But I do not think that in terms of quality, facilities and treatment of the fans the new home of Arsenal cannot be beaten and this is a ground that I will very much look to visit sometime soon, particularly as my youngest brother is actually a Gooner - the one that got away! - so it would be good to go with him.

The one draw back with the Emirates does seem to be the atmosphere, it is good but this is clearly the one real area lacking - is this down to the stadium itself or some of the 'corporate types' going in? I would suppose that only an Arsenal fan could answer this?

Of course, although it may be run down, out of date and all the rest - although it has been improved this season - you still cannot beat the Fortress can you! This without any shadow of a doubt offers the best atmosphere in the world.

What the poll asked - Which is/was the best ground; considering facilities, treatment of away fans & atmosphere generated by home fans?

How you voted - Emirates 32%, Goodison 12%, Anfield 11%, Old Trafford 10%, Roker Park 9%, St James's Park 7%, White Hart Lane 6%, Hillsborough 6%, Highbury 2%, Stamford Bridge 2%, Villa Park 2%, Stadium of Light 1%, Eastlands 1%, Upton Park 1%

Current Poll - The Quay have recently asked what music you would like to see Pompey run out to, so we had a debate on this very topic hear too.

Some people like the music blasting out as the players run out onto the pitch - I admit that I am one of these - whereas others do not, but the question is which track? This is want The Rabbi wants to know with this - 'what music should Pompey run out to before home matches?' Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

Ashburton Grove (We don't use the "E" word thank you) is easily the best club stadium in the UK. The atmosphere is not as bad as some people make out, but it could be better. Oh, I've only seen WHL from the outside, and it is a ***** hole. Other fans will confirm this inside is equally as bad.

The new Arsenal stadium is a pleasure to visit, and an example of what can be done if you spend your money wisely, mind you our visit this season was a pain.

Although it was never in doubt, it's good to hear. Rocky's spot on, the atmosphere isn't the best in the world, but it is much better than some of these "football experts" think. I know this was a one off game, but I went to the United match last year, I'm telling you, I've never heard anything like it, absoloutely electric in the last 5 or 10 minutes. Anyway, the facilities are top notch, and although others would disagree, I'm starting to like the food (even if it does cost an arm and a leg). You can't beat padded seats either, they don't have them at Wembley :)

Hey Rabbi, did you deliberately miss Gladiator (the current run out tune) off the list or was it a mistake?

Evans - Right back or right midfield?

Drew Talbot and Adam Buxton are fit but Gareth Evans continues to fill in at right back. Should this change? If so where would it leave the battle between Evans and Carl Baker?
