Pompey give the fans a present

Nope, I am not talking about 'that match' again - although that was some present - I am talking about the free coach travel being offered by the club for the Wigan match at the JJB later in the month as a thank you for our support.

The JJB was the scene of one of our most famous triumphs in recent years was it not and when we return there on the 20th October the club are offering free coach travel, when it would usually have cost adults £35 and seniors/juniors £32 - so this is a nice thank you.

With the upturn in fortunes with our form and no doubt as a result of that extraordinary game at the weekend, not to mention the fact that Pompey are looking for the almost unheard of back to back away league victories the tickets for Fulham on Sunday are selling well - with only 800 left which might sound a lot but this amount can soon be snapped up.

After the Reading game I would love to go to Fulham, but sadly that old 'problem with money' pain that so many of us have means that I have to refrain and be strong - the plus point is at least it is on the box, which is not the same but it is better than nothing.

Looking forward to the game at Fulham, they did well at the Bridge didnt they, maybe Merlin can tell us what they are really like. Were Fulham good or were Chelsea just poor? I like going to Fulham and i always feel that we can get something there. Is anyone else going?

My dad told me about this, so I suggested that we drive down to Portsmouth and then get the coach trip to Wigan for FREE.

I hope the fulham game yields at least 50 goals...iamgine the savings!!!! its great to see the club encouraging its loyal supporters to travel to the away games, as the journies are often VERY long.

scum lost 5-1! ding dong... it is a good gesture, the fans deserve it and maybe we arent always treated as well as we could be but we cannot complain at this - at the end of the day the club didnt have to do this tho did they, so credit where due... yep its on sky sports 4.10 kick off time.

On this day in history...30th May

A look back at this day in history, and what was happening with Pompey courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, 30th May.

No Crawley return for Tubbs

Tubbs doesn't have a future at Pompey, he's on the transfer-list but offloading him could be difficult given his wages. These wouldn't be anywhere within Crawley's reach.

Pitfalls of Sheffield Wednesday loanee returning

As Catlin put it 'the gamble' of aiming sign Sheffield Wednesday loanee Lavery has to be one Pompey fans understand. It isn't as cut and dried as saying 'he's a free agent' sign him!

Lassie coming home...well sort of!

A-box-to-box player, capable of defensive duties, with ability to burst forward with intent to make things happen - Diarra is Pompey's man and wants an England return. I jest of course!
