We love Kanu, but feel Harry Redknapp does not need to play him all the time! Not my vote, yours - although these findings from pompeyrug's poll are thoughts that I share.
Kanu is a class act, this cannot be doubted and last season when many criticised him I vocally backed him but I do get frustrated at times with Redknapp so reluctant to give others a chance at times though.
He has started this season very well once again, but in some matches a more mobile and energetic striker than Kanu is needed. In many cases - particularly when we play that lone striker - with him being it if we took this route with someone else at times, with those qualities that he can lack we could be laughing.
However Redknapp is the gaffer, so I also agree with the thought that if he is happy then so am I to a large degree, and when all is said and done Redknapp is paid to pick the side.
What the poll asked - Redknapp loves Kanu; I mean he really loves him - do you?
How you voted - Yep but I wish HR wouldn't play him all the time 51%, If HR is happy so am I 27%, Yep he is a genius 17%, No he is lazy 4%, No he is holding others back 1%
Current Poll - We would all love to see Pompey produce some of its own talent, and with our far more professional approach now this could happen.
This idea was sent to me some time ago but for whatever reason it was not used, but with Sol Campbell again vocal recently on improvements he would like to see, along with the league cup seeing many sides rotate things, the thought of us producing our own players again came into my head, as it has others, particularly russellm - as I say some time back - and this is what he wants to know with this - 'Given HR's preference for 'experience' can we have a worthwhile Academy from which to find a star?' Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.
