The dentist chair inspiration

The dentist chair inspiration

As I lay in the dentists chair this afternoon, no not the type made famous by the likes of Gazza and co, the real dentists chair - I would have much preferred the other one - waiting for the injections I had just been subjected to to kick in I started thinking about Pompey, as one does, but more specifically Vital Pompey.

Yep, it already offers you the chance to share your opinions on what is going on in the world of Pompey, with pompeyrug's - me - and paultsmouth's own opinions on certain topics with more and more of you sharing yours too on subjects of your choosing.

Currently we offer you match previews, then the essential match reports, regularly changed polls, the Pompey predictions league and of course the Vital Football fantasy football game along with a few other bits and bobs, but we want to offer you even more, so what do you want to see happening here too?

Chix has put forward the idea of Pompey personnel profiles for players, managers, coaches and chairman past and present, which I am all for - but he has called shotgun on the current squad - so put forward your nominations and I will try and do something - better still write your own.

Whereas pompeygray had the idea of a where are they now feature, this was something he first mentioned to me sometime ago, but has a couple of times since, so again nominations for this are welcomed - again better still write and submit your own.

An idea that a former editor and I toyed with, which I started working on sometime ago but never actually implemented will be resurrected - more on this to follow very soon.

Yep, I was able to get all these thoughts into my head, as well as storing them in the time it took for the numbness to kick in before the drilling began and finally - hopefully - a long standing tooth problem was rectified, but now I feel like a mafia boss, something like Marlon Brando, although the feeling is slowly starting to return.

So there we have it, the floor is now over to you fellas, put forward your potential ideas for things or features you would maybe like to see from Vital Pompey and we will see what we can do. This is your website just as much as it is mine, in fact more so, so I would like to see things that you want produced too, not just what I want.

Yes, agreed! I was trying to track down Mike Panapolous the other day (remember him??) - still only 31, had very little luck indeed, but think he's playing Sunday league in Australia - former Greek international, signed by Bally for half a million I think. (Friend of mine knew him - wondered where he was)

i remember the greek aussie, so much was expected of him wasnt there as we paid alot of money for him - as it was at the time - but he didnt really delivery that often did he... ive often tried to track him down but get nowhere.

yep, i like those too ideas - quality proposials, but if anyone else has any other potential ideas for what they might want to see do share them...
26/09/2007 17:37:00
Great ideas, could we also do something about our first ever game and our memeories of that, and also all those stupid liitle superstitions we have i.e. lucky shirts, hats and scarves for instance, and when we met our heroes in the flesh and our reaction to them and vice-versa
26/09/2007 18:14:00
Michael Panapoulous was quite deceptive - he was slower than he looked !!
26/09/2007 20:10:00
i remember panapolous for scoring in the 3-2 win over palace along with jason crowe after we were 2-0 down
26/09/2007 20:31:00
The start of a great season what memories, winning in London always a nice day out when we win there. Is Jason Crowe stil playing for Northampton Dave?
26/09/2007 20:34:00
nice ideas Owenspompey, i like the sounds of them, all ideas i reckon we can impliment... if you get a chance mate feel free to get the ball rolling on any by knocking together some sort of article.

i was working that day, but had the radio on, so was not amused when i had heard we were 2-0 down, but when it kept going back as we scored again it made my day... didnt we also have someone sent off in that game?
