The dentist chair inspiration

The dentist chair inspiration

As I lay in the dentists chair this afternoon, no not the type made famous by the likes of Gazza and co, the real dentists chair - I would have much preferred the other one - waiting for the injections I had just been subjected to to kick in I started thinking about Pompey, as one does, but more specifically Vital Pompey.

Yep, it already offers you the chance to share your opinions on what is going on in the world of Pompey, with pompeyrug's - me - and paultsmouth's own opinions on certain topics with more and more of you sharing yours too on subjects of your choosing.

Currently we offer you match previews, then the essential match reports, regularly changed polls, the Pompey predictions league and of course the Vital Football fantasy football game along with a few other bits and bobs, but we want to offer you even more, so what do you want to see happening here too?

Chix has put forward the idea of Pompey personnel profiles for players, managers, coaches and chairman past and present, which I am all for - but he has called shotgun on the current squad - so put forward your nominations and I will try and do something - better still write your own.

Whereas pompeygray had the idea of a where are they now feature, this was something he first mentioned to me sometime ago, but has a couple of times since, so again nominations for this are welcomed - again better still write and submit your own.

An idea that a former editor and I toyed with, which I started working on sometime ago but never actually implemented will be resurrected - more on this to follow very soon.

Yep, I was able to get all these thoughts into my head, as well as storing them in the time it took for the numbness to kick in before the drilling began and finally - hopefully - a long standing tooth problem was rectified, but now I feel like a mafia boss, something like Marlon Brando, although the feeling is slowly starting to return.

So there we have it, the floor is now over to you fellas, put forward your potential ideas for things or features you would maybe like to see from Vital Pompey and we will see what we can do. This is your website just as much as it is mine, in fact more so, so I would like to see things that you want produced too, not just what I want.

PLAY UP POMPEY!

Yes, agreed! I was trying to track down Mike Panapolous the other day (remember him??) - still only 31, had very little luck indeed, but think he's playing Sunday league in Australia - former Greek international, signed by Bally for half a million I think. (Friend of mine knew him - wondered where he was)

Michael Panapoulous was quite deceptive - he was slower than he looked !!

Smith staying at Northampton

Personally I wouldn't have thought Cook would have brought Smith back but even if the Pompey manager wanted this he couldn't under the terms of his Northampton loan.

Almost there...stay on target

The win over Newport saw Pompey react well to the defeat to Stevenage with most results going in the Blues' favour too, meaning we've effectively got a seven point buffer on Boro.

League Two 2016/17 Golden Boot Battle (27/3/17)

With most playing 39 League Two games in the 2016/17 season, this year could still see a few players break the 20 goal mark.
