Pompey competition update #7

Vital Fantasy Football - 'Pompey mini league'

After the latest round of Premiership matches of the 2007/08 season the current leader in the Vital Fantasy Football 'Pompey mini league' is still Blue Moon with 201 points, retaining top spot for a 3rd week running. Always Victory, on 194 points is a non-mover in 2nd, again for a 3rd week running. PUPy has 190 points and remains a non-mover in 3rd.

Blue Moon drops out of the overall top 100, but is still in the top 150 - at 143rd - of over 4000 entries, congratulations fella.

'Pompey predictions league'

It a good week for most in the Pompey Predictions League for the Blackburn game - most were right with their win predictions and a goalscorer in Kanu.

steaming was the highest points scorer this week, the 1-0 win with Kanu scoring predictions saw them pick up 6 points for that, but with it being a perfectly predicted lot 5 bonus points were also gained, giving a weekly total of 11 points to move them from 2nd bottom, 28th - 9th, so it shows how quickly things can change in this game!

Chix did not actually pick up any points this week, so stays on 16 points overall, but this allowed him to retain top spot for a 2nd week running. Being one of 4 to correctly predict a win and a goal from Kanu, 4 points from pompeyrug - me - sees a climb from 4th - 2nd, also on 16 points, while auntwallop, after picking up 0 points drops from 2nd - 3rd overall, with 15 points.

If you missed out on predicting for the Blackburn match, as well as any others it is never too late - the 11 points that saw steaming climb from 28th - 9th in one match proves this - just start with your predictions for the next with Reading at Fratton this Saturday. So if you have not already made your predictions on this match with Reading do it here.

pompeyrug
Who is game to predict anything but a Pompey win on Saturday ?
pompeygray
probably a reading fan :) doubt you will get many pompey expecting anything but a win, let alone predicting it...
pompeyrug
You might think you're joint top Rug but 'c' comes before 'r' lol ! - Saturday could be interesting though as most will predict a Pompey win so it could be down to many and who scores - 3-0 gets my vote - I just can't see us losing.....
Chix
.... I really wish I hadn't said that !

Darn! 2nd to 4th and now 8th! Think I was top of the South Coast league for a bit too - I'll be back! :-)

yep scott mc you'll be back line arnie... a minor detail Chix mate - class will shine through :) well i cannot see a defeat either so we will both get point for a win, a correct prediction and who scores might settle it for us - let ballte commence...
pompeyrug
:-) Will have to have a bash at your prediction league - next season maybe! (A disappointing draw today by the way...) (bit of "reverse psychology" going on there..)
