0-10 Pompey games is the aim

I will be looking to watch around 0-10 Pompey matches this season! Not my vote, yours - although these findings from the poll are thoughts that I share.

Unfortunately as I do not have the finances this season I will be lucky to get - actually at the game - to probably 5 games, let alone 10. However this will be a different matter next season as the season ticket will be returning after too long an absence.

0-10 is still an impressive amount from the people on this site, considering that its members are spread far and wide, but the 20-40 from just about the rest of the amount that voted is even more so.

This is not the kind of poll that I can actually summarise too much, as it is basically down to the individual members to actually say what their amounts will be, I would just be making assumptions if I said too much to be honest.

What the poll asked - How many Pompey games do the Vital Pompey members hope to attend in 2007/08?

How you voted - 0-10 49%, 30-40 25%, 20-30 22%, 10-20 2%, 40 + 2%

Current Poll - Harry Redknapp again tried - what seems to be his new found favourite formation at Fratton on Saturday - the 4-3-3 formation, but is this really working?

I do not think that the 4-3-3 works myself and is almost a waste of the talent we have, something that I think most would agree with. I would also say that I would probably know what formation most of us would like him to use at Fratton and this is what pompey4me wants to know with this - 'what formation do you think Pompey should play at home?' Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

Support comes in different guises, all is welcome. Money & travel/distance if very important. There are some who can get to the away games, easier than the home. The cost is daft & we can't all make sacrifices to justify going. Once a family life kicks in, it can become difficult. We all have period of mass devoution & a few barren spells. Just never give up the faith & no matter how, support Pompey.

great stuff mate - completely agree... ive got my first visit to fratton this season coming up against reading in a few weeks time, going with my bro, plymouth graham and some of his crew. the only other match i currently have lined up is everton at home and villa at villa park, anything else will be a bonus, but next season will see the season ticket return, woo hoo!

Matt is right the cost is the key. I work with a chap who has a Home and Away Season Ticket!! Then he earns a good bit too.

Would love to come more but with the tickets, the programme, the food and the visit to the Pompey shop last season it cost me £150 per game!!

I'm a bit of a lucky chap.. I've got my season ticket and wont miss a home game (although the misses isn't too impressed with the boxing daty day fixture !! what with young kids and all !) That said I missed virtually every game for 4 years when i was living in the wilderness that is Moretonhampstead (plymouthgraham might know where that is !) I voted for 30-40 on the basis on 19 home games, approx 5 away in the league, 3 rounds of carling cup and 5 of FA Cup plus two finals at Wembley ...... Does the charity shield count for this year or next ??

having lived near plymouth graham - just outside of plymouth for more than half my life, as i dont drive it is even more expensive to get down up for games... a few yrs back when i had a pretty well paid job and no commitments whatsoever i could afford to go to home and away matches - but football was more affordable then... it will cost me a fortune but im getting my season ticket back next yr for sure - even tho the travel alone will prob cost me double the season ticket costs, unless i can get to know a group traveling from my end regularly again, as i did back in the day... but hey ho, either way i will be there somehow!

Match highlights - Hartlepool 0-2 Pompey

The slim chances of a top 3 finish ended, despite a win at Hartlepool. Wins for Accrington, Oxford and Bristol Rovers meant Pompey cannot finish higher than our current 5th place.
