Transformed a must have, surely?

Transformed a must have, surely?

I have only just had a chance to listen to The Quay's football hour from Wednesday night, the night when Linvoy Primus was the guest. Although we all know what a great fella he is, listening to him for an hour only just increased my admiration for him.

Unfortunately I have never had a chance to meet Primus but I would love the chance to do so at some point, if I could then I would be thrilled to put some questions to him for this very site, which I am sure he would answer.

To be honest I am not really much of a book reader but his new book Transformed is most definitely a book that I will not only buy, but will also read, not just let it gather dust as I have been guilty of with others that I have bought before.

I would presume that a fair few of us out there have already got this book - those that have is it as good a read as I can imagine it would be?

I will be honest, I am not religious at all but I will be buying my copy from, not just to get the copy signed - which he said he would do for those buying from his site - but also to see a donation go towards the Faith & Football that Primus is a part of.

Got mine signed by Linvoy last week and I did promise a review but have not read it all yet. Like you Rug not a great book reader. I will give you all a clue though - 'Pray up Pompey'

great guy, although i've never met him, I have been told by people who have that he is even nicer than he seems on tv ;-)

Just ordered a copy of the book, it will be interesting to see how it all changed around for a guy who appeared to be a journeyman defender going to Norwich City, to our best and most consistent performer for the last couple of sesons. He deserves all his success and i hope he is soon fully recovered from his injury, as we need him.

yea there were lots of the book commented upon in the times a few weeks back, got mine yesterday, its a religous thing largely, not a page turner but an intresting read

Havnt got the book yet, but have met Linvoy on several occasions and can only say that first hand he is simply the best. Lovely man and engages the kids in conversation also.

Will probably get the book, I'll remember Linvoy taking time out at a kids party with Shaka at fun city to give my son their autographs

I met him at a P/S/Friendly at Torquay couple of seasons ago, had a chat..i had been a singer songwriter playing spiritual songs around churches for 10 or 15 years at the time ended up meeting him after the following plymouth friendly and gave him a copy of my CD. He could nt have liked it he never wrote to me having asked for my address...In fact I dont like the cd much myself..nice bloke though

Great player (Legend in fact), admire what he does and even admire the fact that he's found the root to his motivation.... I might pick up from the library on day... but not really my cup of tea if based on religious beliefs ... Wish him well with it though

Another Fratton disappointment

That 2nd half on Saturday against Notts County was woeful - absolutely awful wasn't it. The first 15-minutes or so of it was like a pre-season friendly to pre-season!

Match highlights - Pompey 1-2 Notts County

What a disappointment that was! The 1st half wasn't bad, in fact large chunks of it were good but the 2nd half was just woeful with a soft centred Pompey beaten 2-1 by Notts County.
