Pompey competition update #5

Vital Fantasy Football - 'Pompey mini league'

After the latest round of Premiership matches of the 2007/08 season the current leader in the Vital Fantasy Football 'Pompey mini league' is a new leader, Blue Moon with 135 points, moving up from 5th last week. maradona_kebab, on 130 points is again a non-mover in 2nd, keeping this for a 3rd straight week. Always Victory has 129 points and climbs from 4th - 3rd.

Last weeks leader - having been so for a couple of weeks running - Bluoo Toooth Bashers drops from 1st - 6th.

Blue Moon is just outside of the overall top 100, of over 4000 entries - congratulations fella.

You can still enter a team by going to www.vitalfantasyfootball.co.uk. If you do, also get yourself into the mini league to by using these details.

I again picked up a decent points tally, well I thought so anyway, but stay in 25th in the Pompey mini league - the transfer window opens this week though! I also went down from 2242nd 2303rd place overall.

'Pompey predictions league'

On the whole most people incorrectly predicted the outcome in the Pompey Predictions League for the Arsenal game - maybe our hearts ruled our heads, I know mine did!

supershaun and paultsmouth were the joint highest points scorers this week, with both correctly predicting defeats as well as the correct goalscorer. Had Pompey found the 2nd goal, had it been the right scorer paultsmouth could have completed a full house with his predictions, thus picking up some bonus points, but it was not to be.

auntwallop was one of 8 to correctly predict Kanu would score so this 2 points in total this week, 15 points overall, enabled him to reclaim top spot, moving up from 2nd last time out. Despite picking up 0 points Chix is not troubled too much, so only drops from 1st to 2nd on 14 points, while pompeyrug's 2 points sees him - me! - climb from 5th - 3rd overall on 12 points.

If you missed out on predicting for the Arsenal match, as well as any others it is never too late just start with your predictions for the next game in a couple of weeks time with Liverpool at Fratton, a week Saturday. So if you have not already made your predictions on this match with Liverpool do it here.
