Stefanovic signs for Fulham

Stefanovic signs for Fulham

Dejan Stefanovic has left Pompey to sign for Fulham.

The former Pompey captain has been destined for a Pompey exit for a few months now and has this morning completed his £1m move to Fulham, signing a 2 year contract - subject to successfully being granted a work permit.

It is sad to see him leave, but I think that most people will agree that Stefanovic's best days are behind him. It is also very good business by the club, considering that after 5 years - with his best years being here - we have still got back more than half we paid when we signed him, for a then club record.

This is a really good move for him as it is not far for him to go, so it will not cause him and his family much disruption. He is a top bloke and a top professional who will do a good job at Fulham.

I wish the fella nothing but the best and thank him for the great service he gave this club, as I am sure everyone else would echo.

So it is now one in - Glen Johnson - and one out - Dejan Stefanovic - so far for the day, but you would not bet against more dealings.

Thank you Dejan for everything over the past few years. Our cover in defence was too strong especially after we signed so many left footed defenders.

Ere ere!! Dejan has done so much to take the club to where they are now as a player, captain and ambassador. The very best of luck at the Cottage.

Ha ha i've seen many videos of Kerlon. The fact that he gets a kick in the face/chest for his seal antics makes him worth at least the £15m so people are touting. Did the golfer see a little Brazillian bobbing a golf ball on his nugget before volleying it down and hitting a hole in one?
