Championship, or lower will do

Championship, or lower will do

A Championship side or lower for Pompey in the next round of the league cup will do me! Not my vote, yours - although these findings from Chix's poll are thoughts that I shared, but only because I am so desperate for Pompey to win this cup, as I think we can.

Pompey eventually saw off Leeds 3-0 during the week even though it flattered us and we did not play that well for large periods, but that is often the sign of a good team, winning when not playing particularly well.

I fancy Pompey to beat anyone on their day, so it would not really matter who we draw, but being totally honest a Championship side or lower that should allow us an 'easier' chance to progress would be my preferred option.

Either way we are only a day away from the draw, so we will find out on Saturday lunchtime - above anything else I just pray that we do not draw Newcastle away again.

What the poll asked - We beat Leeds, who do we fancy in the next round?

How you voted - Championship (or lower) we should beat to progress 78%, Not really bothered 16%, One of the top 4%, Any other Prem club 2%

Current Poll - Vital Pompey, along with all other Vital Football sites runs regular polls, but what is the opinion of them.

Some polls are more interesting than others, but none really have any influence any anything do they, but what is your honest opinion on them, that is what Et_tu_Pompeii wants to know with this - 'how do you feel about site Poll's?' Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

I think this pole shows the malaise the fans feel at the moment, we are not confident in the clubs decision making. When i was out at the S&W drinking my winnings the other day there was a period when it became a bit of a moan fest.

Pompey aim remains the same

Doncaster, Carlisle & Plymouth are the teams to catch. Pompey are further adrift than we would want but the aim to finish top 3 remains the same. That's targeted in the coming weeks.
