Fulham join Stefanovic chase?

Apparently Fulham have become the latest team to show an interest in former Pompey captain Dejan Stefanovic.

It is 'understood' by skysports.com that with Zat Knight destined for Villa that Lawrie Sanchez has earmarked Stefanovic as 'his replacement'.

I would not be at all surprised to see him leave this week and a move to Fulham would be more likely than a move to Rangers in my opinion, so if Fulham show a genuine interest then maybe this 'rumour' could have some legs.

Top class. Worth at least 3 million, but since it's Fulham, you can have him for 2.5 mil.

i love the fella, but tbh he is not anywhere near the player he was - so will not play much for us. im not really sure that answers your question tho...

Rangers or Fulham ... A chance to play in the champions league or the championship .. Id know where I'd go....... Didnt realise Stefanovic had Irish roots though

i would certainly go to rangers, but to prevent the whole family up rooting fulham seem the more likely doesnt it? not being harsh on dejan but if he could turn out to be 'one of the ones fans might not want to go', i would take this in a second if it meant keeping someone like matty taylor or gary o'neil...

Not sure Dejan really wants to move on at this stage of his career but it appears we are off loading for something big.

It looks possible that HR might swap Dejan for the Wardrobe (Diop). Who remembers Multi Coloured Swap shop? That is the next three days for PFC.

i didnt think about that diop scenario - i still dont think we need him at all tho...

Stef for the Papa .... The 'Squad' would be better off in the long term - At least Diop would challenge for a place in the starting 11 - I don't think Dejan will, at this stage. As Ive said before if he goes he must go with a big 'Thank You for all you've done' from PFC

He has been a great player for this club, it almost breaks my heart to use those words...has been. Wish him well, hope he knows in his heart of hearts when to call it a day.

agreed mate, it is even more of a great deal for pompey when you think we paid less than double what we will get several years back and have had his best years - good luck dejan.
