Vital Football

Last chance saloon fellas!

Last chance saloon fellas!

The 2007/08 season is just a couple of days away now so this is your final reminder about the free to enter 'Vital Fantasy Football' and 'Pompey Predictions League' competitions being run this season - with prizes from Vital Football and myself up for grabs! - before the big kick off against Derby on Saturday.

If you have not already registered a fantasy football team, you better act quickly so you do not have to start a week, or more later than the rest of us. So go to www.vitalfantasyfootball.co.uk and select your possible £1000 winning team!

Once you have sorted out your team, pit your wits against other Vital Pompey members in the 'Vital Pompey mini league'. It only takes a few seconds to join the mini league - and does not affect participation in the overall game - you simply select the 'join mini league' link on the left of the fantasy football web page and put in the details below in the join a mini league section and click 'join league'.

There are currently 17 teams in the league, which is not bad, but we need more. Here are the details you need.

League Name - Vital Pompey League
Password - vital pompey

To take part in the Pompey Predictions League all you have to do - within the 'Pompey Predictions League Forum' - is put forward your views on the match outcome, match scoreline and the Pompey goalscorers for each match we play. You gain points for each area you are correct in, with bonus points also up for grabs.

There have currently been 14 members putting forward their predictions for the Derby match, but I know for a fact there are a hell of a lot more of you that are missing out! Time is running out, but it is not too late, but you only have until around 10am on Saturday morning - at the latest - before the thread will be frozen, which prevents any further comments being made.

If you have not already made your predictions for the Derby match do so before 10am on Saturday morning here.

PLAY UP POMPEY!

To join the Vital Pompey debate - in the forum or with comments on articles - simply take a few seconds to register an account.

What is the dealine for entering teams? I'm at work at moment, out tomorrow, and hope to be able to enter mine on Saturday, so as to keep me job too lol. or will that be too late. As we are all locals here, and i dare say a lot of you come from Gosport, can i also bring all your atentions to a petition in place to improve that bloody A32, and ask you to visit and sign the petition.? I had it emailed to me this morning, and think it needs some support http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Gosport-A32/

just checkout out the rules mate - you can sign up anytime during the season - up until 5th april 2008 - but so as long as you register by 12.15 on saturday you are eligable from the very start of the game - so by doing that you dont start a week or more behind others...

well, russlem, am stands for AnteMeridian, and pm stands for PostMeridian. so, i guess the only way would be to say at "10pm (gmt-12) on saterday morning"...rather longwinded (and is there a gmt-12?) but yeah, i did read it at east ;-)
