I would rather see the scummers relegated than anything else they could achieve this season! Not my vote, yours - although these findings from pompey4me's poll are thoughts I do not entirely share myself.
Yep, the rivalry between the blue and red halves of Hampshire runs deep, as deep as any rivalry could, so it is understandable that so many would prefer to see the scummers squirm, best of all relegated above anything else - no doubt the vast majority feel the same in a reversed scenario.
My thinking personally though is I just do not really care what they are up to!
I do not like them, but I will be honest I do not particularly go out of my way to hate them either, clearly my dislike for them is a little more than it would be most other clubs, but to a large extent they are nothing more than 'just another club' to me.
It gives me great satisfaction to see Pompey once again to top side from the area after so many years of playing second fiddle, so the longer this can continue the better, but promotion, mid table, relegation, whatever they do does not really concern that much to be honest as what Pompey are doing on and off the field is my main priority - and the only thing that worries me really.
What the poll asked - Where would you like to see the scummers finish this year?
How you voted - Relegated 61%, I just do not care! 19%, Automatic promotion 10%, Finish mid table and stay in the fizzy pop league 6%, Reach the playoffs and lose again 4%
Current Poll - We are just over a week away from the start of the 2007/08 season, so the talking will soon stop and actions will speak louder than words. The away form has been a problem in recent years - can we finally alter this?
Fratton was a fortress last season, but too many dropped points away from home, due mostly down to negative tactics, really let us down. To realistically be where most want us to be this season we have to improve this dramatically. So pentonpompey wants to know - 'how many points on the road do you think Pompey will achieve this season?' Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.
