Griffin and Mbesuma close to exits

Peter Storrie has said on the Pompey site that Andy Griffin and Collins Mbesuma are in talks with others clubs and others may follow them 'Andy Griffin is talking to Derby at the moment, and Collins Mbesuma is talking to a club in Turkey.

'And there is also interest in one or two of our other players who may move on in the next few days.

'We've got to balance the books. We can't bring people in without one or two going the other way'.

Griffin and Mbesuma will not be missed as they are not in Harry Redknapp's plans at all, the fact that they were not issued squad numbers says more than enough.

The clearest indication on who the other names who could leave will be, would be who has stayed behind from the party going to Asia.

Without wanting to speculate too much I think it is a pretty safe bet that Andrew Cole is likely to be one, with Andy O'Brien the other?

No place for them in the first team squad, but I wish Griffin all the best.

Don't see a need for these players but they do need an employer so fair go, move on and play on a smaller stage.

:) whenever i see or hear the saying 'for the greater good' it makes me laugh - i just cannot take that quote seriously... it is probably because it is used so often in a comical reference...

According to the comic 'The Mirror' Kanu stormed off last week, has not gone to Hong Kong and is set to join Espanyol. So could he and possibly Lua both be on their way?
