Is Diomansy Kamara having a laugh?

Diomansy Kamara last week signed for Fulham, with the BBC claiming he 'snubbed' a Pompey return in favour of Fulham because they will 'out perform' us this season 'I had a good relationship with Harry, but this time I decided to sign for Fulham and I'm so happy about that.

'I think Fulham will be stronger than Portsmouth over the next year. They've bought many players and I think they can finish in the top 10'.

At first I was not actually sure who he was referring to? As he is not saying 'we' as in Fulham, but 'they've', which could be viewed as Pompey. So it appears at first glance as though he is talking about us - but then I realised he was talking about Fulham!

My thinking and belief is often that I concentrate on what we are doing and do not really care what others are up to but when I saw this, after I realised he meant Fulham, it made me laugh - am I being over confident?

I do not do the 'we are better than you' talk, as this is 1) pretty sad and something only kids do and 2) something that can often come back to bite you in the behind anyway, but could Fulham really finish higher than us - have they improved their quality that much that they could?

My thinking would be no and this is just something to spice things up ahead of the meeting in Hong Kong next week, although it just goes to show that all teams are aiming high this season - with most of them splashing the cash too.

What a comedian. He'll be happy with the other clowns already at Fulham then.

never did rate him that much and I'm not convinced he'll do the business in the Premiership. How many players have hit 20 goals in the Championship but then gone on to fail in the premier league?? I know we have bought Nugent but he's young, will learn off top players at Pompey and has time to adapt. Kamara wake up son you'll in a fantacy worls if you think Fulham will finish higher than us. Funny man, perhaps you should take up a carear in Comedy.

Kamara will probably last one season at Craven Cottage and then demand another move. He is another player with no loyalty and will move every time the cheque book is being waved about. He was a pretty average player at Pompey and his temperament was bloody disgraceful. I dont think going to Fulham will boost his big ego,and when the going gets tough he will hide as per normal.

With Lawrie Sanchez's style of play the only place Fulham will be going is down.

They'll definitely be lucky to stay in the Prem, I find it amusing and a bit insulting that he assumes they'll finish above us this season.

Sanchez will find out how tough the league is this season, Fulham had a decent young manager in Coleman and he has gone to a bigger job in Spain. Sanchez brings his Wimbledon style to the table i.e. the long pass game with Healey and McBride that is obvious, Kamara would not get in the side regularly at Fratton, and i would have been really suprised if we had made a move to get him back. If anyone was coming from the Baggies it could have been Gera, Curtis Davies would be good but not at 8 million.

he is just trying to take a swipe at us, probably becasue we did not put the bid in that HE wanted us too. its sad that he would say he expected fulham to finish above us - as i have said elsewhere, i had them going down, definatly not top 10. where does that put us if kamaras right???

I still think he underperformed here at FP and has bags more to give - we should not have let him go, I think we will regret this later.

Alex get real mate, Kamara is not going to turn you into a good side, Pompey fans know all about him, and no doubt Baggies fans feel a bit aggrieved about this, we can discuss this in Hong Kong over a bottle of Tiger beer. You have never spanked Pompey mate not in our lifetime anyway.

Are Fulham a real team? I thought they were a kind of made up team - like you do on Champ Man. A joke team. With a joke, gum chewing monosybilic Welsh manager that could never look at the camera in interviews (Kamara - joke, get it?) What are you saying? They've got another joke manager? Blimey

How many scoring opportunties did DIOPANSY KAMERA fluff - too many. In fact he fluffed more times than the baked bean eaters in Blazing Saddles....we gave him so many chances as speedy as he his. I have pencilled in Fulham as one of my relegation candidates so the signing of this bloke who needed glasses a few seasons ago will not change that.
