Muntari is the man most want to see

Sulley Muntari is the new signing most are looking forward to seeing against Yeovil on Saturday! Not my vote, yours - although these findings from the poll are thoughts I share completely, well almost. That was until the double signings this week.

Since his arrival he has been the man I have most been looking forward to seeing in this game - and I still am, but with David Nugent and John Utaka's big money moves taking place this week, seeing Nugent - as he should play - is something I am also eagerly anticipating now.

Had he and Utaka, who will not be playing though, been options or been signed earlier in the poll then maybe the other option would have had a higher percentage of the vote?

What the poll asked - Which new signing are you most looking forward to seeing against Yeovil on Saturday?

How you voted - Sulley Muntari 62%, Other - maybe even Nugent - if he signs between now and then 27%, Sylvain Distin 7%, Hermann Hreidarsson 2%, Martin Cranie 2%

Current Poll - As part of a 'getting to know you more' exercise people are being asked to simply vote as to where they are located in relation to Pompey.

It is safe to say that the users of Vital Pompey are spread far and wide all over the world - so pentonpompey asks the question 'Where do you Vital Pompey fans live?' Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

To be honest we are looking to seeing them all, especially the players that we have not seen a lot of. Utaka, Muntari and to a certain extent Arnold are all still unknown quantities to us, but come with good reputations so lets go and give them a chance to impress us. This is a really exciting time for Pompey and it all begins tomorrow.

Actually, I think we are all interested in seeing them all, old & new faces. Hopefully ready to kick some Derby ass.

This game should give us a good idea of what our new signings are all about. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing Muntari, as I'm sure he'll be eager to impress.

im sure that all will impress, although as an idea of how things may look, i'm also sure that everyone will want to score - so as a team, we may not perform as well as we might. and wheres "surrey" on the new poll? south of the M4 t is then...but 40min train ride is more accurate :)
pompeycarpet
where abouts in surrey pompeycarpet?! im a lowly student in surbiton! :)

fellas im just the messenger - 62% voted muntari hence 'muntari is the man most want to see'... im looking forward to seeing all of the fellas, new and old, but a club record signing is not something that happens everyday for pompey is it so altho i know a fair bit about him i dont know as much as i would like, so a first in the flesh glimpse at him is something im really looking forward to...

So the Surrey branch of the supporters club is still going strong, i used to live in Ewell and belong to the London Branch of the supporteres club. Muntari will be a great player, he seems to be saying the right things and has the right sort of attitude, see what he says on the official website, so good luck to him.

Exciting times these, I'm looking forward to seeing who 'Arry decides to play in the opening game at Derby...and it's not even safe to assume it'll be a 4-4-2....who knows?
Tantona
To be honest, I thought Nugent might top the vote had the poll been started now. But I'm just as excited about Muntari, indeed all of our new signings, as I am about Nugent.

spoiler are you pessimist? are you pessimist? are you pessimist in disguise? are you pessimist in disguise? come to think of it i think he moved to basingtoke. i am a confirmed member of south of the M4 surrey contingent having moved out from Surbiton to W-o-T. I'm looking for Muntari having been aching for him to join us since i first saw him in italia last year, now im also curious in Utaka
russellm
god all that is lmissing is me saying i want to help a childrens charity
russellm
do you?...and im a little south of surbiton spoiler (pompey pessimist - whichever u prefer...) looking at the way nugent (or other as the case was) went up so quickly after he signed, i would agree...but i was surprised by hreiderso even getting 1 vote...must have been a joke :)
pompeycarpet
Hermans mum must have voted for him, but we cant fault her for that can we? I reckon he will be a good addition to the squad, plus he is a big physical presence for us in both penalty areas It would be a long way round Sol and the Terminator and then be confronted by Jammo.
Owenspompey
whilst he is big, and im sure he is strong, he isnt that Exciting...
pompeycarpet
oh, and anyone who thouht utaka was the playor they most wanted to see, bad luck, youll be kept waiting :)
pompeycarpet
Sulley well done mate good start and Herman you showed that you will do job for us.
