Utaka glad to be at Pompey (AUDIO)

Portsmouth's summer spending spree extended to over 15m following the signings of David Nugent and John Utaka.

Nigerian international Utaka, who signs for an undisclosed fee from French side Rennes, said a phone call from Pompey striker Kanu was enough to convince him that Fratton Park was the place to be, citing the club's passionate fans were the reason behind his decision.

The 25 year-old also said his ambition had been realised, with a move to the Premiership.

Yep i agree, he is saying the right things and we look forward to welcoming the lad to Fratton. If he works as hard as Benjy and gets goals like the Yak we will love him. Welcome John and i hope you enjoy your time with us.

Carpet we have to wish for the best mate, just think back to when we really struggled to score goals and beat poorer teams.I will lower my standards then the workrate of Paul Hall and the finishing prowess of Aloisi.
