You say 'Saganowski wouldn't be bad'

Mark Saganowski is the saint I would like to join Martin Cranie in signing for Pompey! Not my view, yours - and these are not views I particularly share really.

The majority that voted in Et_tu_Pompeii's poll are of the opinion that Polish international Saganowski is the man - from names listed - you would most welcome from the lot down the road.

I believe that he made his move to the saints permanent the other day, so this is not going to happen now anyway, nor would I have wanted it despite his impressive goalscoring record. Kenwyne Jones or Leon Best - who is available, I am informed for around half a million - would have been my preferred choices. Rudi Skacel was the rank outsider.

How you voted - Marek Saganowski - 10 goals in 11 apps 61%, Kenwyne Jones - 15 goals in 28 apps 17%, Grzegorz Rasiak - 21 goals in 35 apps 12%, Leon Best - 5 goals in 7 apps 6%, Chris Baird - 50 apps 3%, Rudi Skacel - 34 apps 1%

Current Poll - Some may face a dilemma in August - that is if you are a football and a cricket fan.

Hampshire play at Lords but Pompey also play of the same day - and at home - so what would you do? The Rabbi asks the question with his poll - 'On Aug 18th Hampshire play at Lords, Pompey play Bolton (h). What would you prefer to do?' Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

not being funny storagematt but just because you dont agree with a poll it doesn't make it 'pointless' mate, so alittle more repect to someone that has submitted an idea would not really hurt would it? at least they had the bottle to do it didn't they... opinion - yep i know the above this is yours - is what the poll was and what this site is about... if people have their opinions - in the polls and articles they submit - shot down without need really, this could put others off sharing theirs... sometimes you have to look past the fact people are scumhampton players, just because they are it doesn't make them bad footballers do it? tbh most of the strikers in the poll are vast improvements on what we have...

not being funny Pompeyrug but I judge castrateandhangemhi herebye find YOU POMPEYRUG GUILTY OF GROSSLEY MIS REPRESENTING the conclusion of a poll. AND the second charge of MALICIOUS HEADLINE BANNER.It was i believe intended to be a joke poll, at no time have i read a member state the gentlemens name amongst the pazzini's, harewoods, Defoes or yaks, except i may humbly have noted that he has actually scored 11 goals in his last 30 odd games and has been dumped by every team he played for. Furthermore ruggers AT NO TIME did the poll question intimate that you were going to advise that we would be content to have him join. I ask you this question HAVE YOU JOINED THE DAILY MAIL nay i ask worse THE NEWS. shame on you ruggers, sentence is to carry on

russell, with respect what you have said has either gone way over me head or i just dont much care for it - maybe im missing its point? the poll concluded saganowski a 'clear winner' with 61% so this isn't grossly mis represented is it mate? the poll asked a question as to who would be the prefered choice after cranie's arrival to join him from scumhampton - joke or not - saganowski's name won ergo he wouldn't be so bad... maybe i wouldn't but i see no mis representation here tbh as you - a collective 'you' - voted him, i did not so voiced my opinion that i didn't and said who i would have rather had personaly... my point to storagematt was simply just because you don't agree with someones point or poll it doesn't make it 'pointless'...

pompeyrug, I havent said the Poll was pointless and i was trying to be humourous about disagreeing with you as you seem to have taken it personally however have it your way then and tell me. At what point did you ask the question of vital members. Would it be bad if saganowski joined portsmouth ? i suggest that it wasnt anywhere, nor prompted or pointing to the conclusion that we think it would not be bad at all. If you had said Pompey fans say if they had had to suffer another scummer player then they chose sgabag then i would have agreed with you. It seems to me you have extrapolated an opinion something we all criticise papers for doing.

No offence intended but I have been giving my straight talking opinion for quite a while now. It was still a pointess poll.

On this day in history...30th May

A look back at this day in history, and what was happening with Pompey courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, 30th May.

No Crawley return for Tubbs

Tubbs doesn't have a future at Pompey, he's on the transfer-list but offloading him could be difficult given his wages. These wouldn't be anywhere within Crawley's reach.

Pitfalls of Sheffield Wednesday loanee returning

As Catlin put it 'the gamble' of aiming sign Sheffield Wednesday loanee Lavery has to be one Pompey fans understand. It isn't as cut and dried as saying 'he's a free agent' sign him!

Lassie coming home...well sort of!

A-box-to-box player, capable of defensive duties, with ability to burst forward with intent to make things happen - Diarra is Pompey's man and wants an England return. I jest of course!
