What happened on Thursday with Pompey and the media? Lets take a look.
Any lingering hopes that Freddie Ljungberg might leave Arsenal for Pompey - or anyone else - were quashed as he told BBC Sport - via his agent - he wants to finish his career with Arsenal.
The Daily Mail ran a story saying how Harry Redknapp would not be taking any gambles on any Championship players such as David Nugent - for £7million - or Billy Sharp, as he just cannot 'afford to take the risk'. Marlon Harewood's name came up again though within the same article, with him seemingly our number one target now.
After sadly passing away at the weekend, the details of former Pompey striker Derek Dougan's funeral were announced - it will take place next week on Thursday 5th July in Wolverhampton.
We may have been priced out of the race for Yakubu - as we are unwilling to meet Boro's £10million valuation - but according to the Mirror City will! And he is set to become one of Sven Goran Eriksson's first signings when he officially takes over.
The thing that really caught my eye though were The News' claims that the proposed stadium move for Pompey is under threat - and the counter claims from Pompey soon after denying this.
The News ran a front page article titled 'the dreams in danger' that claimed we were behind the schedule with our planning application, with this casting more doubts over the likelihood of a move even happening.
Pompey were quick to counter as they issued this statement on the pompey site - assuring us everything is okay, with the club remaining confident everything is on track and building can begin next summer as planned, with us then able to move into our new home in 2011.
Until something is set in stone I will not fully believe it - this is not to say that I do not believe the club, it is simply that we have heard new stadium talk for as long as I can remember. This would be great, but seeing is believing and this is when I will fully believe, but have faith in the club that what they are telling us is how it is.
As far as Pompey's relationship with The News goes, I do not think they will be expecting too many favours for a while at least - the last line in the statement Pompey made things quite clear on Pompey's thoughts on the paper.
