Shame to think Kanu may go but must replace with quality. Need to get a top goalscorer, sod the cost.

Mind you, totally unrealistic and wishful thinking views on the current poll. There is absolutely no way that Harry will ever break the bank for anyone under 25 or probably even under 29. Harry will only do what he always does, which is to cover his back. If he signs anyone over or around 30 for a very cheap or free deal, he knows that if it goes feet up then he can say what do you expect for what he cost? If we failed to improve on last season with players who cost us a lot of money, he knows it will be his head on the block, so he covers his back by not signing anyone of any real value.

As much as I have always rated Harry, he is gutless when it comes to spending big and what's more if it all works out for the better it just makes him look even more incredible when the media say what a fantastic job he has done with so many old players on a cheap budget.

I'm sorry Harry, but I'm getting tired of this from you and its high time you joined the real world and got up to date. No more has beens, no more old farts, lets get someone with young legs who can acutally last a whole season instead of just half of one.

well, with the news of Kannute's agent saying he could move to portsmouth, it would be a pretty safe thing to guess that a 29 year old would join. he fits 'Arrys mould perfectly - old, tested, and played with him before, although I would like somebody else...please :)

Im not sure if I agree with you TPB. he hasnt had buckets of cash at Pompey till recently,& he did get Benji whos just turnned 27 for 4.4 mil as soon as he did have some doe! I agree, hes not splashed cash on big payments, but I m not prepared to question his choice of age & type of player selection after watching us finish where we did this season using his methods. I was a bit gutted, when he thought 8mil was "crazy money" for Andy Johnson because I would love to see him on the team sheet now....but Harry hasnt let me down just yet, Im going to let him do his thing, & see what happens!

I think there could even be the possibility of 3 strikers - kanute seems to be likely, Yak is clearly wanted, and maybe a younger playor? or is this just me hoping?

nope he is still here, it seems that the dutch arent rushing to buy him, i guess they are waiting to see what we do in the market first. i also think that it will be a Kanu out and at least two strikers in. Cole has made it clear he wants out, HR doesnt rate Tody anymore so he will probably end up at Leicester and HR knows he can't rely on Lua Lua. I dont t really think as a club Pompey have a choice. in rwegards to the issue of Yak and Kanoute ( assuming mali actually go) there is still the issue of the ACoN.
