You say 'Kanu goes one will come in'

You say 'Kanu goes one will come in'

Kanu will go but Pompey will sign one striker! Not my view, yours - although these findings from Et_tu_Pompeii's poll are thoughts I also share - and more.

The majority that voted are of the opinion that Kanu is the most likely striker to leave Pompey - I think we can almost certainly say this is going to happen now - with one striker to arrive to replace him.

This was always likely to be the case given the options that we had here. My thinking is - and I would not be alone - that Kanu will go but two will arrive, eventually!

How you voted - sign 1 & lose Kanu 75%, sign no-one and lose Toddy and Kanu 15%, sign no-one & lose Kanu 10%

Current Poll - Strikers are taking up most of the talk with Pompey these days, with all manor of people 'linked'.

Pompey are being 'linked' with strikers from around the globe, young, old, in between, proven or not - so Lysimachus asks the question 'What kind of striker would you think Redknapp would break the bank for?' Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

Shame to think Kanu may go but must replace with quality. Need to get a top goalscorer, sod the cost.

Now let me see... 75% is a pretty damning and conclusive figure wouldn't you say?

Mind you, totally unrealistic and wishful thinking views on the current poll. There is absolutely no way that Harry will ever break the bank for anyone under 25 or probably even under 29. Harry will only do what he always does, which is to cover his back. If he signs anyone over or around 30 for a very cheap or free deal, he knows that if it goes feet up then he can say what do you expect for what he cost? If we failed to improve on last season with players who cost us a lot of money, he knows it will be his head on the block, so he covers his back by not signing anyone of any real value.

As much as I have always rated Harry, he is gutless when it comes to spending big and what's more if it all works out for the better it just makes him look even more incredible when the media say what a fantastic job he has done with so many old players on a cheap budget.

I'm sorry Harry, but I'm getting tired of this from you and its high time you joined the real world and got up to date. No more has beens, no more old farts, lets get someone with young legs who can acutally last a whole season instead of just half of one.

Got to agree with TPB, past form indicates that Arry will go for an old and tested player....whenever we get linked with someone young/up and coming we get the 'I like him, course I'd love to see him here but the price is far too high' banter.

well, with the news of Kannute's agent saying he could move to portsmouth, it would be a pretty safe thing to guess that a 29 year old would join. he fits 'Arrys mould perfectly - old, tested, and played with him before, although I would like somebody else...please :)

good poll lysi, i think at the moment people are voting for what they think should happen and not what they think will happen

infact now i have read the other postings i find i am agreeing whole heartedly with TruePompeyBlue. as i said last season Harry would never go to Debenhams if he thought he could get something out of date and nowhere near as good in the £1 mart... in fact thats it !!! Harry thinks he is a student at the poly..oops sorry university

Godd poll - I think everybodys trying to drop Hints to 'Arry...although maybe an option should have been "He WON'T break the bank at all"
