Euro 2008 - could not care less!

Euro 2008 - could not care less!

'Couldn't care less if England make it the Euro 2008!' Not my view, yours - although these findings from the poll are thoughts I do not share at all!

The majority that voted are of the opinion that whether or not England qualify for the European Championships next summer does not worry them.

Most - like myself - that do still feel we can make it, only feel this more in hope than expectation.

I will never be of the opinion that I do not care about England and hope - even if naively so - those that have voted this way are genuine neutrals?

Although I have always held England in high regards, the importance of Pompey is pulling further and further away but I will never simply not care what happens with England - ever!

How you voted - couldn't care less - an option for the neutrals! 39%, i'll say yes - more in hope than expectation 26%, yes 'arry is right we will be there 20%, nope 'arry's optimism is clouding his judgement 15%

Current Poll - In trying to find out more about the Vital Pompey membership we are asking where people sit at Fratton Park?

In order to try and get to know more about where the majority of the sites members sit at Fratton True Pompey Blue asks the question - 'Where do the Vital Pompey members sit when they go to Fratton Park?' Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

PLAY UP POMPEY!

sorry but i will never share the view that i could not care less about england - even if spineless steve is in charge... i am hoping that most that did vote this way are the genuine neutral - but i think i would be foolish to believe this is the case entirely...

This is a damning indictment on the manager without a clue, first class players that don't play, second rate players that can't play and a team which have rarely entertained us since Euro '96. I'm afraid I disagree with you PR, the national team do not have the right to play however poorly they want to and still retain our support. The expression, 'Vote With Your Feet' springs to mind, althiugh in this case it includes, voting with my eyes, bank account and telly off switch. I would trade Pompey finishing in the top 4 for England losing every game for 3 years.

yep - we have had to put up with years of underachieving and frankly poor squad selection, with too many frightened - with spineless steve at the head of the queue - to make changes for the right reasons... whist i agree that the national team does not have a right to continue to play poorly and retain our support Et_tu_Pompeii, to simply 'not care' cannot be something we can do tho is it? all clubs have poor runs - god knows we have had it here - but we never stop caring do we, those that do are not true pompey fans! but how can an english person stop caring about england? yep, lose interest but never stop caring surely... even with this said tho it goes without saying i too would clearly want pompey benefit even at the expense of england...

On this day in history...26th June

A look back at this day in history, and what was happening with Pompey courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, 26th June.

Done Deal - Smith in permanently from Swindon

The interest Pompey retained in Smith, with him 'in our sights' has resulted in him returning to the Blues on a permanent basis after signing for an 'undisclosed fee' from Swindon.

Cushioning the blow

Much, that needed saying, about Webster's exit for Ipswich and the arrival of Clarke in return (and cash) has been said hasn't it? Doyle's been spot on with what he said.

Swindon striker in 'Pompey's sights'

Michel Smith, who was of course on loan last season, could return? He's still in 'Pompey's sights' by all accounts after Swindon informed him he's 'surplus to requirements' now.
