Muntari deal still not completed

Despite this deal being the one most likely to happen - according to the latest poll - and with a fee supposed to have been agreed at least a week ago, maybe longer - we are still 'tying up lose ends' in our pursuit of Sulley Muntari.

We seem to have been in this same position time after time after time!

A reported £7million fee has been agreed with Udinese but as is so often the case with Pompey we just cannot seem to sew up the so called 'minor details' with deals we are involved in - and this has cost us many a player over the years, but Muntari is not about to become the latest - so they say, well more precisely Udinese general director Roberto Zanzi to be exact when he said

'Muntari has yet to reach personal terms with Portsmouth.

'We are confident that the deal will be completed and expect his move to be finalised in the next coming days.'

With Pompey little surprises me, we have had more than our fair shares of 'déjà vu' have we not? Surely the Muntari could not be the latest big money move to collapse over what are called minor details.

I do not want us to spend money for the sake of it and if players are asking over the odds you have to stand firm and politely tell them to move on but lets show people we mean business and finally conclude one of these monster money transfer deals. We are not going to help ourselves with these continual breakdowns of big money deals are we - we cannot be taken seriously if this keeps happening.

I remain confidence that we will still tie up the Muntari deal - although I usually do remain just that and never learn, when you think I would?

certainly, you cannot spend that much money on a player - if you are pompey - without being sure so i hope that he is coming but it just seems to be the same old same old with pompey over and over again...
