Vital Pompey re launches

You may or may not have noticed but there have been a few changes to the set up of vital Pompey. Last week there was a minor shake up and I - Pompeyrug - have now taken over the site as editor.

Many of you will already know that I have been a part of this site for a year now, with my duties previously primarily being to preview the Premiership games each weekend, followed by a review after, along with my main duty of writing the match reports and publishing the statistics from that particular Pompey game.

The chance to take over the running of this site came up and it was too good to refuse, writing about the club I love has been great for the past year - but writing about them as the editor of a fans site, this fans site something else.

Vital Pompey has tremendous potential with hundreds of members so should be making similar moves forward to that being made by Portsmouth Football Club on and off the field, so with TruePompeyBlue's experience and ability to produce articles of the highest order - and post comments on this site that are second to none and Paultsmouth's Pompey match preview's and other articles produced - along with again comments to bring others into the conversation and myself we look forward to moving this site forward. There will also be another editor joining the team shortly, so look out for them - they will pull no punches.

As part of the re launching of vital Pompey a competition will be run throughout June. This competition will give not one, but two lucky members the chance to win a prize of the highest order and quality - so look out for this in the next day or so and throughout June!

Vital pompey will be looking to keep you up to date with the latest goings on surrounding Pompey - your help is always welcomed though so share your ideas through submitting your thoughts and ideas through articles and poll suggestions - if nothing else through your continued comments within all areas of this site and votes in polls.

Good luck Pompeyrug from all at Wigan, are you gonna take Dezeeuw back?

cheers worbo... i read about de zeeuw a minute ago. he is a legend and a player alain perrin should never have let go - one of many... i think that any return would involve a coaching position also which maybe puts question marks alongside some already here in the coaching capacity?

Another Fratton disappointment

That 2nd half on Saturday against Notts County was woeful - absolutely awful wasn't it. The first 15-minutes or so of it was like a pre-season friendly to pre-season!

Match highlights - Pompey 1-2 Notts County

What a disappointment that was! The 1st half wasn't bad, in fact large chunks of it were good but the 2nd half was just woeful with a soft centred Pompey beaten 2-1 by Notts County.
