Most likely Pompey recruit

Most likely Pompey recruit

Sulley Muntari is most likely to sign for Pompey! Not my view, yours - although these findings from the poll are thoughts I also share - I think, or is this hope?

The majority that voted are of the opinion that Ghanaian international Muntari is the most likely man - from names most strongly linked with Pompey - to arrive.

Sylvain Distin has arrived, so his amount rose as a result but like a few of you I fancy Defoe arriving - I can see this happening, but a lot depends on what happens with Berbatov at Spurs - Robbie Keane has already signed a new 5 year contract so Defoe will not be looking like a first team regular if Berbatov stays. The least likely arrival apparently is Hyypia - again linked with Pompey over the weekend.

How you voted - Muntari 51%, Distin 23%, Defoe 14%, Fowler 5%, Viduka 5% and Hyypia 2%

Current Poll - David James England career has been over for a while - most of us have come to terms with this, even though we and so many other clubs fans know this should not be the case.

James latest oversight from the squads to face Brazil in a friendly and then Estonia in a European championship qualifier have for all intent and purpose sealed the lid on the issue - if we still believed it hadn't been sealed before - but 'how firmly is the England door shut on James,' let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

Done Deal - Walsall compensated for Lalkovic

Milan Lalkovic has become Pompey's sixth signing of the summer. A compensation agreement with Walsall was agreed that has seen the former Chelsea winger join the Blues.

Solving that goalie quandary

I'm not sure our problem with finding a 'regular' no.1 last season was behind our failure to gain promotion from league two was it? Clearly it didn't help mind.

Pompey's attacking intent

Something Pompey (attacking intent) will look to show next season to get out of league two once and for all. Smith came in from Swindon last week but Cookie wants another striker.
